It is beyond stupid decision made by Porsche since using the same engine in 991 GT3 RS and 991.2 R LE is wrong from several points of view.
At least IMO.

If correct at then end, that would be a very strange decision and could pi... off some people . Unless, it is a very limited production with a very high price ( as Sports Classic )

Cali is convertible, the others you mention are not. You cannot compare them, in drive fell once the top is open the coupe cars have no chance (sensations fresh from yesterday one hour open top drive with my wife AND my to kids).

Tell me one thing-what kind of ambiente temperature is suitable for cabrio open top driving? Currently we have here in Zagreb 36-38 degrees Celsius. Way too much for open top driving IMO. On Adriatic coast temperature is similat and long term forecast is predicting very warm August and September.

I am asking since I saw today Bentley Conti Cabrio driven by mid age lady with top up. AC is much better then 36 degrees Celsius...

Sorry for going off topic.

I drive open as much as possible, especially when we have over 30°C outside but I love heat (not at night in bed though, unless it comes from my wife Smiley Smiley ) and it doesn't bother me at all. I also barely sweat, unless I sit directly in the bright sun and/or it is very steamy.

Long story short: I love driving a cabriolet and the hotter it is outside, the better (we had 40°C two weeks ago and I loved it, driving 240 kph on the Autobahn with an open top and even my wife enjoyed it). Smiley

No surprise they do that after the success of the GT4 and RS .

At that price '' some'' people ( where money is no issue at all ) will only be interested if the production is limited to 300 , 500 max .

I would of liked a car like that .... but I not at that kind of price . Then I am much happier with my RS .

This is semi confirmed info from my P source after I emailed him about our moderator Aldo info from Porsche production line. So, hopes for manual and affordable 991 R do not exist.

Yes, just received same link from my P source.

Ok, this is official:

991.2 Carrera 370ps/6500rpm + 450Nm/1700rpm

991.2 Carrera S 420ps/6600rpm + 500Nm/1700rpm

991.2 Carrera S X50 450ps/550Nm

Max revs are 7500rpm.

Max speedis the sameas on 991.1 models but, acceleration is way better 4.3s for 0-100km/h for base model and 4.0s for S model (both without SC!).

991.2 CS Sport Chrono Package includes RWS.

And now this... With SC, new -20mm/SPASM, PDK and PCCBs 991.2 CS on street P Zeros is faster on the Ring then Cayman GT4.

Rumors about 991.2 Turbo models are also great.

Thank you Kreso. It seems the 991.1 will be in many ways be what the 993 is: the last of its kind. Something will be lost but the FL will be faster for pros and in a different league for amateurs.
