Yesterday at my dealer they were 2 reds in the show room. One waiting for delivery and the other one for sale . Each time I see it, I feel it could be my car .  ..... 5-6 weeks will fly by ! Smiley

@Gnil: I have yet to see a carmine red in real life ... so my own will be the first one I see broken heart so the positive comments that I see on RT like yours on this color give me some peace of mind, I have never gone for such a color, I always went for "more quiet" colors.

    Re: 991 GTS

You could of made a little trip around here for a visit . The one on show is there since 3 /4 month . The only problem with it is the price tag . About 210K !!!!!! mail  That is very close to RS price . It has every option one can imagine .

There is also a carmin Boxster on show .

the GTS in Carmin with the black rims + other black bits looks very sporty , has a classy presence . It is louder, but I am sure you will get used to it . It will make it even more special .

My GTS 4 Cab was 162k EUR (MSRP) and there wasn't much left to order... (Burmester, LED lights, etc.).

If you go with Porsche Exclusive it should be easy to go over 200k!

    Re: 991 GTS

I think Gnil is talking Swiss prices. Even though they have lowered their prices, they're still linda insane for what you get. I can't get any 911 configured to my likings, under CHF 200k.

Correct. No exclusive . But add PCCB and you get to that price .

It could be , that , when you actually do the order/payment , you will get the so called euro-bonus . So it could wipe off about 10k . Still way too much for a Carrera .

Funny how the euro bonus works . It is only applicable on the base price, not on the options ;-)  and reviewed every week .

I am in the same boat with you, Carlos.  I never would have thought I'd choose (let alone pay extra) for Red, but when I saw a Cayman GTS in Carmine at the dealer I found my eyes kept coming back to it among about a dozen similar cars.  It's just a very interesting color that makes you want to stare at it. True but still nowhere close to 200k.

Even the 162k EUR my car costs are way too much for such a car, sorry to say that. Found a used 991 Turbo Cabriolet with only 5000 km for 158k. Incl. LED lights and PCCB. Didn't go for the Turbo Cab because the exhaust sound would still be the same (bad) and lease cost was actually slightly higher (because the car was used and there was a special lease offer for my GTS).

If someone would ask how much I would think is a "fair" price for my 991 Carrera 4 GTS Cab, I'd say around 135k EUR.

    Re: 991 GTS

RC you keep talking about these special deals with leases... So really you paid nowhere close to 162k if you factor in the deal... You have to wonder why anyone in Germany would pay cash for a luxury car...

Not that simple. First, many of these luxury cars are leased on a company and the cost is usually fully deductible (in my case, I am using the 1% rule, which simply explained means that you can deduct all cost BUT 1% of the new car's value is considered a gain, per month). As far as I heard, a majority of 911 cars in Germany are registered to businesses. Second, you get a nice rebate if you pay cash. In my case, the car would have been around 142k EUR if I would have paid cash but if I buy the car after the lease ends, it costs me around 160k (already did the math).

So yes, many people over here lease cars but there are still many cash deals out there, simply because there are lots of customers with cash and they do not want to lease (for obvious reasons...lease cost always goes through the bank, if you get my point Smiley).

20k discount for cash buyers? Why do they even have a factory price. LOL

Current rebates vary from 9 to 11% for good customers, I even heard of up to 13% for non-GTS or GT models. For the GT3/GT3 RS or GT4/Spyder, rebates vary from 0% to 3% (good customers). Dealers don't like to talk about rebates because apparently Porsche doesn't like them too much, they are afraid of a brand devaluation. I don't know however many customers in Germany who would buy a Porsche (or any other car for that matter) without a rebate.

    LLLLLOVE   IT!

Looks a bit like my 991 I used to have. Mine was aqua blue - very similar. My wife talks weekly about that she misses it. I guess I have to get one again!

    Enjoy it - adorable car!

    Re: 991 GTS

Very nice shade of blue. What is it?

the standard metalic sapphire blue :)

    Re: 991 GTS

stunning car haboub, enjoy it in good health!!! perfect color!!

    Re: 991 GTS

    thanks mate :)

Actually RC and others helped me decide on 991 generation. I once got a 981 cayman for 2 years due to other commitments but I guess I did the right decision. By then I would have got the 991 C2S which is great but the GTS is even better :)

    Re: 991 GTS

In the U.S., normal dealer discount off of MSRP is 6-8% without any hard bargaining.  Real deals come at the end of the facelift cycle.  Last year's new Cayenne Turbo Ss at my dealer were going for around 15% off MSRP.  Percentage discounts above were on leases.  Maybe more for an outright purchase.

    Re: 991 GTS

That last 918 sure looks darker than Carmine red maybe? I love it.
