There is a valve that opens a shortcut so the exhausts takes a shorter way thru the exhaust system. This takes place in the side mufflers. So when removing side mufflers you also removes this function.

No problem ;) i speak with James and the bypass exhaust do not lost the warranty... this system is install directly in Porsche dealer in USA. I think just a bypass is not a big mod... i understand when you remove cats and others but just the center exhaust...

"We have several dealers in North America that put our exhaust on them BEFORE they deliver the car and our local dealers have no issues with the exhaust but I can’t speak for the European dealers but they shouldn’t have a problem with just a rear center section replacement."

You have the same function like the standard exhaust just more sound. you replace TI rs muffler by GMG pipe same function but you win in sound and i think a little power.

For some people it isn't just enough to scare people on the sidewalk and provoke middle fingers from them. Some people need to give those people on the sidewalk a heart attack, so they cannot show them the middle finger anymore.

Btw: My C4 GTS is louder...

My GT4 is even louder...

But they probably can not launch truly epic cars at the same event as a major release of the 911 Carrera.

Is it a CD with exhaust sounds which you play very loud in the car? Smiley

The only thing you could have done is disabling the flaps. Unless, of course, Porsche developed, produced and got type approved a special exhaust part only for you Smiley

You should know in the US we have laws regarding losing warranties. Our courts have held that if the failure is not related to the modification then the warranty must be honored. That said, there is a fine line as what is related and what isn't. Smiley

the position is broadly similar under English law, but do you want the hassle of taking Porsche to Court? And you need to show that the modification did not cause or contributed to the problem ..

is this what the 4.0 was to the 997 ?

if so, maybe we will not see a 991.2 GT3 RS after all (or only as a Turbo)
