Car is a massive disappointment and it's not selling well at all.

I've never seen a new version of a car (NSX) stray so far from the ethos of its direct predecessor Smiley

Honda was just dumb... A NSX without that hybrid crap Smiley would have been the better choice, also they could have sold it cheaper.

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

I did a few little changes on my RS , mainly to improve track driving .

The alignment has been revised ( Manthey racing quotes  )  . The car sits now lower, but I did not go all they way of what was recommended . That would be be 1 cm lower . Already now , even with the lift up, I touch the front lip when entering my drive way fro example .

The car feels much more reactive now, and the slight touch on the steering wheel is now  immediately felt in the direction . One could say it makes the car more nervous . I only tried it yet on the way back from the dealer  ( 10 min )

I also changed the pads for the ones they use on Cup cars ( PFC )  and put racing brake liquid  .

Looking forward to see how it will feel on the track !

That looks awesome Gnil, very purposeful!

Those were the exact same mods I did to my car when I first got it. It's relatively cheap and makes such a big difference to how the car drives. I was also a big fan of the PFC brake pads, again not too expensive but a world of difference to OEM pads.

    Nice Gnil!

I use Race Brake Technology RE10 as of now. It is an endurance pad. Really good. Difficult to find in Europe. They are USA based as I understand it.

I just ordered Ferrodo DS 1.11, a brake pad similar to the RE10 but cheaper.

    Whoopsy:

It's the dealers' job to weed out speculators, Porsche itself can only do so much.

Dealers are the interaction end of the process, they are the one selecting the customers.

Even if Porsche add their approval for purchases it still won't work, as the dealers can supply bogus names to Porsche for the orders like Ferrari dealers do, order a car in a good customer's name but sell it to a completely different entity.

Something like this already happened to someone I know. A dealer ordered a 911R in a 918 owner's name without the 918 owner's knowledge, but flipped the car and Porsche found out, black listed the 918 owner acts they think he did it on purpose, but after some protest and investigation, the ban was reversed and gave him a 911R back. The dealer? Got off with no consequences. Dealers are too powerful for Porsche to offend. Especially in the US. They are untouchables.

Quite a few of the 918 owners in the US got booted off the VIP program because of the 911R. Did they flip their cars? Sort of, but all of them partnered with the dealers to do it. Greed from the dealer is the biggest motivator.

Case in point, I have three local to somewhat local (the third is in an affluent suburb 30 minutes outside of the city) dealers. The suburban dealer has three GT3RS's available, the smaller downtown dealer has one and the major dealer has SEVEN (to go along with its 15 GT3s...). I wonder how many that dealer got in total (because I know of at least five guys who bought from them that drive their cars as opposed to flipping them).

Pfaff? They are the largest volume dealer in the country, they get the most cars. My dealer is second largest and they got got just over 20 GT3RS. And counting back they had like 40 GT3s delivered

Yes Pfaff. But think about it, Van gets 20 so Pfaff gets what 25? and they have 7 available for sale right now? That's 30% of their allocation that they are personally flipping let alone any of the independents. Quick look and there are two with independents and one private sale.

I think that tells you something.

But surely the price is now at the official price ? Here you find them now with a few thousand km under the official price.

How can it be different with so many available and the new GT3 coming ? But maybe some

people are dumb enough ? Last week at the track there was a guy who just had bought a second hand RS payed more then official price and was braging about how they  keep going up   . He must of never looked at the market and only listen to the dealer or some newspaper article

All "pre-owned" one has 314km on it but non are really over 2,000km. $309-$334k CAD. Whoopsy can tell us what that is vs. List in Canada, I never bothered to look.

Depending on options, that's about 60-90k CAD above MSRP. Price has been strong for the longest time, I got just around there last summer when I traded in my car, after a year of driving it.

You have to call or email the Buy Brakes guys.  They gave me 20% off and free shipping (no link, but they can source the full Brembo and Racing Technologies catalog).  Someone on Rennlist (maybe Mooty) said Endless was the actual maker, but it's not certain.

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

Question to the experts here: Is the reason for possible "fast" introduction of the new GT3RS the new Euronorm 6C. If I understand it correctly the NA engines will not be allowed/possbile any more after 1 September 2018. This is the reason why the R8 V10 will also disappear and the GT3RS will not be build any more after this date? Is this correct?

I think you are wrong, due to Euro 6...

Beginning of next year at max, imv...

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

    So what about EURO 6?

Important is the date of the type certification...

Also not much will change with 6c... Major change is actually only switch from NEFZ to WLTC (fuel consumption).
