    Re: 991 GT3 RS

I will get a Cup car when the time is right. I am not even close right now. The CS will be a good stepping stone.

Just finished my training. We have sun, rain, and even snow today, unbelievable. We basically blamed it on Timo, saying he brought the Silverstone weather with him.

A Cup car will do 1:36s all day at Leipzig on the big layout, Timo set a record in the 35s.

A 991 GT3RS will do 1:41s, one of the instructors just set the fastest lap there yesterday.

    A 991 GT3 laps the circuits in the 1:44s.

My best time in the Cup car is 1:49, and I started off in the 1:52s laugh

I still have much to learn!

I looks like we were all chasing  time . I managed a ' slow' 2.02 ..... my brother in his Cup laps in 1:48 something ...

The good thing with the Clubsport is that you can not ''overerrev'' it  , PDK saves you , as on the Cup, you can blow up the engine Smiley .  My friend who drove last year the 997 Cup and now the Clubsport said  he did not nessesarely find the Clubsport easier ( only safer for the gears ) .

We had 25 degrees friday, yesterday 21 . today it rained and when I passed the St Bernardo pass to cross the alps from south to north I had 0.5 degrees and a few snow fakes !!!!

Yes, It is getting better for sure . I was faster this time in straight line then a 997.1 GT3 RS tuned with all sorts of different things ( 4.0 wing and engine hood , exhaust etc... ) not sure if he had shorter gearing .

Still , I think your car runs much better then any other Smiley

With the 991 GT3 there was hardly any difference ( I now have 4'000 km )  . When in manual mode, if one revs to the limit you actually loose speed on the GT3 after the corner exits . You have to shift at the right moment .

Porker : You MUST do Imola . It is a fantastic track and in the city, which adds a nice touch .

I think a 4.0 spoiler on a 3.6 might have dragged it quite a bit :) 4000km is nothing of course, it will surely open up further. I'm still undecided on the 991 RS, if I could get an allocation I would consider one for 2017 if they're still in production.

regarding Imola, yes I'd looove to do it, let me know should you consider to go there again!

    Re: 991 GT3 RS

    Hi all,

I've been reding this forum for a while, but now I have become a member. This is due to the fact that I met and teamed up with Whoopsy at Leipzig this weekend. We had some real fun and he did well regarding first time on a new track and doing it in a cup car. Well done Nick !kiss And as we say, what happens in Leipzig, stays in Leipzig....smiley

Not that I ever will try to compeet to Whoopsy regarding number of cars, but never the less I was rather hoping for a couple of more in the next comming years. My hope was that the 991.2 GT3 RS would come about a year before the GT2, and as everybody else, I'm number one on the list with my dealer...blush But they just comfirm the GT2 list placement and don't even have a propper 991.2 RS list.

I know what Whoopsy told me, but still hoping. Since this forum is full of people with very good conections, mabye some one of you be nice to this "newbie" and give me some inside  on the possabillity for a 991.2 GT3RS.

Becourse even if I will track the GT2, I must say I love the GT3 RS, so if the 991.2 will not happen, I must start the process of getting me a 991.1

Well, the car could still (actually I heard it does...) happen but you need to talk to your dealer early if you want one (you know how this works...).
