    I believed Webber was taken to Weissach directly, as I didn't see him at the factory. We left the airport almost together. He drew the e-hybrid car while I got the panny turbo.

    All 918s are taken to Weissach for a shake down run as part of the validation process. But I don't believe he is there to shake down a 918. Could be testing the RS though.

    are you sure about the "Porsche on demand"-rental? Can't find anything in that sense on the various sites. Could be a huge succes IMO

    Yes, it's a new program. I see cars come and go in front of the Museum with people getting off the car and greeted by Porsche personal with a check board and was told they are doing the 'driving experience'.

    Sounds encouraging Whoopsy!  But sometimes the "final quality check" can bring delays.  All will be worth the wait!

    From what I understand, he talked about lack of grip of this particular test car? And was worried, that wouldn't be able to put a record lap?

    Coincidently, this was the exact test car, which had problems to put record time at Balocco track (Auto Mag)...

    ...and more importantly it was not the only press fleet 918 that experinced setup problems. Bigger issue that Porsche stuff was there to assist WR but, even they were not able to fix that test car.

    Ironically, they have power problems with the “press” cars, not customer ones. We are used to be just the opposite with other manufacturers… Smiley

    On going 'enhancement' is the exact word they used when I talked to them over the weekend. Everyone is avoiding the HP question.

    1st thing that will appear is a onboard owners' manual, it will be out in the next update. Long over due, there was no room on board to store them in the first place.

    system management between hybrid and gas, shift logic and other stuff will also be updated in the future. 

    Initially, e-mode only goes to 150km/hr before engine starts, right now the car goes to 155km/hr. So I am guessing testing the limit on the front e-motor is also part of the ongoing testing.
