A few Newbie questions
Hi everyone,
Just found this excellent forum and have been going through past threads to get some inside info on the Cayenne S we bought recently.
Can anyone help me with answers to these questions:
- Our CS is a May 2004 build and has a CD based PCM SatNav system. From what I have read it was delivered on the month that production started putting in the DVD based PCM system into Cayennes. What version is the PCM model we have: 1 or 2?
- From cold the car sounds like er... an electric milkfloat. Before this we had a 3.0Ltr X5 and I have never owned a car that makes that sort of loud whirring noise like this. After about a mile it goes and there does not appear to be any promlems other then the embarrasing noise. It does seem to be engine based rather than transmission - if I blip the throttle in Park the whine gets lounder. When the engine is warm its pretty much silent. Is this a feature of the car or do I have a problem?
