Have friends (pickup truck so ~5500 lb of weight) who swear by these tires; very decent on-road with good wet capability, and good on most non-technical off-road as well so no worries with rocky secondary roads. Tread would not be great in real deep mud conditions, but no road-capable tire would be. So for using the Macan in NZ rain, and some of the narrow unpaved stuff (the twisty gravel road through Uruwera Nat. Pk. comes to mind....) these would be superb IMO. Also the M+S rating would mean the rubbers works in colder temps... not sure you're in NZ during their winters.... Overall a reputation as an excellent paved+unpaved hybrid; there's a reason these have been on the market now for many years.
