Finally managed to get some mileage on the car and I must same I am very, very impressed! The car does suffer from more turbolag than on the 12C. Not a huge set back, but nothing will ever beat the response of a proper NA motor.
Having said that, I am very impressed with all the other aspects of the car. The suspension is definitely stiffer than on the 12C, but it feels far more compliant over bumps and uneven surfaces. The steering feels tighter than the predecessor too.
The power up at the top is crazy though! What astounds me is the level of grip they have been able to achieve on a RWD car with so much power. It's really very usable and doesn't squirm all over the place unlike some of the other cars.
The visibility is also really good. One could easily use this as a daily driver. The new R camera also helps too. The Iris system is also vastly improved, still a little bit laggy here and there, but overall a nice setup.
The steel brakes on the Mac are still the better of the two in my opinion. The CCB's on the 650 don't seem to have the same sense of urgency to stop. You really have to bury your foot on the pedal to get it to stop. Just another driving style I will have to adapt too.
Enough talk, some pictures!
