Beautiful car! I love the fact that it's not red.
They have another Dino at the same auction (lot 132), also at no reserve. Actually, they have quite some interesting cars in Monaco. The 9th of may is Coys' auction and the next day is RM's auction.

I'll bet he doesn't have a "Ferrari Classiche" certificate!
BTW, here's another interesting car on that same auction. Pretty rare (especially in Europe) and in a very nice condition:

There are quite a number of incorrect detail issues on the Keith Richards car.
Any idea about this one?

The photo's are very small so it's difficult to see a lot of the detail but the air con unit and under dash vents are not original (the console around the gearshift has been modified for the air con controls) and the rear number plate light is incorrect for that chassis number. It should not have the light in the chrome housing on the boot lid but should have lights mounted in each bumper end cap instead.

Wow! Thanks!
Maybe that's why both cars are at no reserve....

If you fancy a challenge how about this one? It should polish up nicely
Hahaha. Well.. i'm not really in for a challange I guess
I would really like one, but preferably one that's fully restored and finished. That said... These Dinos are going for crazy prices, so I guess i'm a couple of years late.
Fortunately there are lots of other beautiful Italian classics, that still are slightly more affordable (at least for now).

I'm first in line for one of Iains cars in about 20 or so years. Unless he plans on passing it down as a family treasure.
Keith Richard's car sold for 294,200Euros and the other 1971 Red Dino GT sold for 237,080Euros. Both prices are fairly low for a Dino in the current market so most likely reflect the overall condition of the cars. Examples at the Techno Classica event in Essen sold for much higher prices in March with at least three cars selling for in excess of 300,000 euros.

I 've been to both the Coys' on friday and the RM auction on saturday and I have to say that the way of presenting cars was a huge difference. RM does such a great job, way better than Coys. Not that it adds any value to the cars themselves, but for some of the potential buyers there, the ambiance can make a difference in how much they want to spend. The cars itself looked nice, but not spectacular. i think I've seen better Dinos, eventhough I don't know that much about the cars.

hmmm - were you at the GP Historique too ? It was amazing
Yes, but only on sunday for about 1,5 hours. It was pretty cool to see and hear those old cars racing

You are abs. right for me RM is the bench mark in presenting cars in an auction. Only the auctioneer Max Girardo is sometimes a bit too much...
But overall it was nice and a stunning € 268.000,-- for a 964 RS
