Besides of that, it's indeed a good review and it's sad that he has such a problems with his car. The only benefit is that he had the oppertunity to drive various Porsches that he got as a loaner and he did some nice reviews on them as well. Nick is a nice guy (too nice in the case of his 991 if you ask me). Luckilly his problems are (hopefully) being solved at this moment.

Can't help wondering if the issues are related to the extreme weather you see on the East coast. I've had two warranty claims in 18 months (parking sensor & roof lining) and I'm not looking forward to a failing heater - but in the UK I'll notice it less than he did!

Nick does some great reviews, feel really sorry for him with the problems he has had with his car. Looks like he will be taking the lemon law route that they have in the States.
As was pointed out whilst his car has been in the shop he has been given loaners that he has reviewed. He really liked the Cayman S and the Diesel Cayenne. I subscribe to his his You tube channel.

In part 2 he mentions getting special treatment by Porsche since they saw his videos... apparently the engineer replaced the non-color matching parking sensors when he saw the video free of charge..

It is scary how much electronic stuff goes wrong on those cars...like the 2 mirrors going down??
Does the 991 have more of those issues? Two of my colleagues who bought each had a critical failure (as in 'you get stuck on the road failure'): 1) fuel pump...and 2) fuel tank sensor (resulting in out of fuel situation)...
I had a feeling 997s had less of these 'little troubles' ?

My 997 had some teething problems. The high pressure fuel pump failed (the car suddenly became just drivable) and was replaced under warranty. The PDK developed a glitch and drive was interrupted just when entering a large roundabout (very hazardous situation). That was cured through a software update.
All cars have their initial issues. The point is not to have them continuously.
