Start of testing for 2014?
...maybe they are testing the 918 Spyder against the 991 GT2 RS prototype, which may also have a hybrid boost?

Dear Boxster Coupe GTS could you please stop posting the same thing in different threads? I really don't get it....

Great idea getting the guy to sign your actual car? What do you have in mind for the location? Gas cap? center console?

How about this: Let him sign your CF insert in interior; Paint that part with transparent layer to protect signature; Get some silly price when you decide to sell your 918 Anyone having idea what signature was used in photo below for illustration of my idea

Jay Leno drives final spec 918 Spyder:
Kinda wonder if he's ever going to order one....who knows?
Besides,you mentioned at some point last week that the "last tests" showed that the 918 can do;
0-60 mph - 2.38 seconds!!!
1/4 mile - 9.65 seconds!!!
Any source you've got for that? Thanks bud
Wonderbar:
What's with Leno here? He is just mouthing the words, saying just polite things in a rather empty way. When he drove his P1 on video, he was wildly excited. Think he made a deal with McLaren?
I believe he bought a P1. It may have already been built. The question is whether he will buy the 918. I suspect he will.

Leno's car being unloaded at Beverly Hills.
Can't help but smile when I see it struggles to go up that TINY ramp into the shop. It almost scratch the front, had to back up and re-enter, then almost scratch the rear diffuser. Not very everyday friendly car. Or normal roads for that matters.

I get the feeling that Leno isn't too excited about modern Porsche cars anymore. His first drive in a Panamera Turbo (many years ago) was like a sleeping pill, he really didn't seem to enjoy himself at all. Of course the 918 is not a Panamera but still, as a car fan, I would enjoy driving both.

noone1:
918 has grown on my a lot. Even though it lost some cool concept touches, in silver from the side and rear it looks very contemporary and cool. Front is still a bit boring, but could live it with.
Looks like shit in white though. Silver looks best so far.
You mean like this?
noone1:I hope they depreciate a lot. Sorry Whoopsy, but I don't got an extra million laying around for this ;)
Honestly, that won't bother me one bit. I had no plans to 'flip' the car so price fluctuations, be it up or down, will be just a paper gain or loss.
Even if it depreciates 50% the first year, I still think it will be worth it to be at the front of the line for Porsche for the next 10 years. Some people try to pay their way to the front of the line at Ferrari and they don't even succeed even paying that much.
Chance of a lifetime to visit the 918 factory? Knowing it will only be there 1 year? Well worth whatever the initial depreciations.
By my own calculation, I am already ahead on the deal. The car is just the bonus on top.

He's biased bacuse he likes the P1 better. He did buy one right away after all.

If you hang on to it long enough, you will not loss money. The CGT made a come back. Also, super cars will be relics going forward. Those that own one will have a unique asset.
