I have one question related to the Cayenne FL: Will the GTS model also be introduced with the FL or only Base, S and Turbo.
Reason I am asking if that I am about to place an order for a GTS, which has currently a lead time of three months ( delivery end of June / July ) If I knew that the GTS will be available as a FL as well I would wait.
Thank you for your input.
A few months ago I was going to order a 2014 Cayenne Turbo to replace my 2005 Cayenne Turbo. Delivery would have been April. I later decided I would rather wait a few more months and get the face-lifted 2015. I have an understanding with my local Porsche salesman that I want to place an order for a 2015 as soon as they can do so.
I continue to read this forum weekly, but haven't contributed much lately. I currently have a 2012 991 S Cabriolet, 2015 Cayenne Turbo (only has 20000 miles) and my wife drives a 2013 Mercedes SL550. I don't put a lot of miles on my cars since I work out the house and my wife doesn't work.

In the Panamera FL they introduced all the lineup, so in the Cayenne should be similar, well, that is I think it's going to happen

Right now, it seems that the Cayenne facelift engines will be pretty much identical to the current Panamera (facelift) engines. Only the small Diesel may be slightly different and the S Diesel will get 400 (or close to it) hp. As far as I heard, there will be a facelifted Cayenne GTS but the only three models which are 100% sure are the Cayenne S, the S Diesel and the Turbo.

If possible, I'd wait.

in the UK, the facelift diesel was a few months later than the petrols. there were facelift models with the old diesel engine for some reason.

m4ever:
GTS will be presented with the other models and will be a V6 Bi-Turbo and not any longer V8. V8 will be reserved for Turbo an Turbo S.
If the GTS goes the V6 route, it'll probably get the Macan Turbo's 3.6L engine. Just my guess since I've been wondering why Porsche would go far enough to develop another new engine, so it would make sense to use it beyond the Macan line.

Wonderbar:
m4ever, are you sure the v6 biturbo will be for the FL GTS? Seems odd to make an engine shift for a FL. Next generation maybe, but for FL?
Wonderbar - this is what i was told by the Porsche guys here, as strange as it seems . Basicly all petrol engines will be V6 except the two V8 Turbo. Presentation Jun/July deliveries Sept. I think this info is likely available at the dealers . On the other hand i don't understand why the Panamera GTS maintains the V8 in this scenario?
Hello everyone,
l`ve placed this week (actually my wife) the order for a Cayenne "Facelift" diesel (Order price of 0,01 EURO)....according to our local Porsche dealer deliveries are due to start around Q4/14. They've point out October 14.... a previous post has mentioned June/July 14 but this has not been confirmed by the dealer....seams that due to reliability issues, Porsche may drop diesel's output from the "Marketing" wished 300ps to something between 270-280ps...anyhow more than the current version. I would like to have the PDK....but this will not come into question (according to the same dealer)....
greetings from sunny Hannover

Very unlikely from what I heard but right now, everything seems possible.

Looks like a bigger Macan, which could've been a good thing in theory... But this one looks like it's wearing a toothy grin. Not a good thing IMHO, plus those plastic strakes in the air intakes look terrible.

The headlights are disguised the DRLs are disguised even the bonnet is disguised. We need to see the finished look. But the large front grille (which I don't like much) has been a feature since the first one
The main thing that needs improvement out of the current IMO is the rear lights.

The headlight shape is there - more angled edges like the ones on the new Panamera. My guess is that the interior design will be tweaked a bit and the DRLs will shift to the four-dot design in the main headlight unit, freeing up the intake unit for J-shaped nighttime position lights and indicators. The bonnet also looks enlarged - the cutouts have now shifted to on top of the fenders rather than between them.
Some of the earlier shots show the new design of the taillights peeking from behind the camouflage. There will be a thin, long rectangular night light similar to the Macan with the indicator embedded into it. The brake lights seem to be two lines above and below the central light so they'll either be two freestanding lines or they'll create a big rectangle surrounding the main light like the Macan. Reports everywhere are pointing out that they're expecting the 3D light design to make an appearance since it's a new feature Porsche plans to use across their models.
I think it makes sense to use the Macan design principle on the Cayenne since it'll give Porsche the chance to keep fresh ideas for the next-generation model in 2017. By the time the all-new Cayenne comes out, the Macan will just be moving onto a first-generation facelift and allow more differentiation between the two models.

The bonnet isn't disguised at all. It just has two thin white lines in tape that are just a ruse to make the eye think there is a curve there when there isn't. The tape sits on top of new outer creases on the bonnet that start at the base of the windscreen and taper down to finish just above the inner headlight. The changes mimic the revised Panamera at the front and I was told that the rear lights do follow the design of the Macan from someone who has seen the finished car. I wouldn't anticipate any changes to the interior as Porsche seldom do that with any mid model facelift. The best you can hope for is some new interior colours IMHO but I wouldn't hold my breath on that either
I was pretty excited when I saw the first pics of the Macan. But now I see it driving on a daily basis and I'm less. The Macan is too Q3-ish to me. To me a nicely specced Cayenne looks more serios/masculine.
BUT At the moment I still need all the luggage space I can get, but in a year or so I might downsize. Then I will look at it again. A GTS Macan could be interesting.
