Saw an Alfa Romeo 4C yesterday on the road, in red with Austrian license plates. I wasn't aware that Alfa Romeo already delivers the car to customers since I haven't received any feedback to my first(!) buyer request (not that I really wanted to buy one but I was interested) yet. There was a registration possible for those who were interested in getting one of the first 4C. Never heard back from Alfa Romeo.
What can I say? The car looks spectacular, it really has a very nice road presence, almost Ferrari like. No kidding. Very nice looking live, especially in red.

I assume you saw the coupe, not the spider?
BTW ... i didn't get any information either after signing up for it, but I didn't expect much to be honest...... Italians
The car looks very cool IMO . Looks a lot better in the flesh than on pictures. Doesn't match the 8C though....

Might get even more complex to get a response from Alfa Romeo

IMO it is expensive.
For similar money someone can buy a Boxster (a more complete and all purpose car) or a top of the range Elise (a sharper handling car and the standard for steering).
Moreover, for someone who wants a nice toy car in addition to his regular car(s), 50.000 EUR seems rather too much.

No Boxster looks as good as the 4C...honestly. Photos don't do this car justice, it really looks spectacular for this kind of money.

I saw both version at Geneva and I was not impressed at all. It is a nice design but very insubstantial and toycar-like.. Kind of Italianized Elise/Exige.
Of the two versions the spider was the better one and not only because of the front lights.
I wouldn't spend €50.000 for this car, but I would spend this amount for a basic spec Boxster. If the 4C cost €35.000 more people might be interested.

That 's exactly the case with this car. Both at Frankfurt and Geneva it looked kinda odd and even pictures don't do the car justice, but in daylight on the road the car is gorgeous. Same applies in a way to the 8C by the way, although that looked already pretty on pictures. 8C is still one of the best looking, if not the best looking (and sounding) car designed in the 21st century.

This is the price of an Elise, roughly. Besides, Alfa with just two hatchbacks in their range (Mito and Giulietta) is not a premium brand (yet) to command a high price.
IMO Alfa could have made an excellent small sportscar without the cost of using a carbon tub, like many of their rivals manage. They could have kept the price lower and make the package more accessible. Having read several driving reports, handling is good but not a revelation in spite of the carbon.

Here's hoping that the 4C signals the rebirth of a once great marque - FIAT have a shameful history of betraying the brands they control such as Alfa and Lancia.
It's said that a driver has not had a proper motoring career without having owned a "proper" Alfa and a 911...

It's a shame that Alfa wasn't allowed to be sold to VW. They could have resurrected this historic name whilst respecting its heritage. Just look at what VW managed to do with Lamborghini, Bentley and Skoda.
The 60s Alfas were wonderful and affordable drivers' cars. RWD, superb gearboxes and brakes and nimble handling at a time when the contemporary BMWs were like agricultural vehicles. The Alfasuds were a revelation for front wheel drive handling but with terrible rust issues. From then on it all went down
