Maybe third time trying to post will be a charm…Got a chance to drive a Turbo S while my car was in for a service. Dealership had a Turbo S & Bourbon tasting event the night before. Nice that my car’s service happened to line right up with it. Course I don’t really drink, so just there for the cars.
Had not noticed the slight difference in the nose of the Turbo S with it having the 'crease' lines inboard of the lights. Not as pronounced as the GT3, I think, but I liked them. The car is fast, ridiculously fast. RWS steering and the 991 chassis really make it a fun car to drive on twisty roads. It’s not a 2.7RS, but then I wouldn’t expect it to be. PDK and the ride seemed good, couldn’t really tell a difference between my car and the Turbo. If there is one, I didn’t notice on my short drive. It doesn’t sound the greatest, isn’t as exotic looking as a 458 or even 12C, but in my opinion it’s anything but boring. It’s just so fast.
My plan was to move on to a GT3 in a couple years. But now, as I mainly drive on the street, I’m not so sure. Told my sales guy I really need a drive in a GT3 to be positive. Course who knows when that’ll be…maybe after one I’ll understand some people not really liking the Turbo. Couple Iphone pics of the Turbo S and my car.
