Nah. The GT3 comes like this from the factory so doubt it is aerodynamics.

Do you have -20mm sport PASM on the car? Or aftermarket lowering springs / coil overs?
It has a nice low stance!
Sport PASM only.
Sport Design front helps the look too.....
Decided this route vs aftermarket wheels, w/similar offsets, because the wheels I liked looked very similar to the OEM Carrera Classics I already have. Spacers w/bolts @ $60/ea X 4 + shipping.

One thing I've found is there are very few manufacturers who do a 7MM with the lips (though pretty standard on the thicker ones). Most are are flat plates in the 7MM. Many have experienced vibration because the centering was slightly off vs raised lip style.
I always use anti-seize lube on the hub flanges for easy removal later
