The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Gembella. The Avalanche which is based on the 997 looks wicked. Have a look. BTW, click on the large picture for performance details. There is always a faster gun.

As a skier, the last thing I'd want to do is get caught in an Avalanche!

I wonder why Uwe Gemballa refers to his Carrera GT Concept design as the "Mirage"?

What's the point of a faster gun when all you have are blank cartridges?

Nick, your attempts at Porsche-knocking are getting more feeble than ever. You should drive your F430 more to find some inspiration for criticism of the shortcomings of sportscars which would sound a little more objective than the stuff you keep repeating.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

That froggy can hop all it wants .. It still doesnt blur the fact Gemballa is going down the drain with their designs.

Im going to put their stylists, aerodynamic specialists, and Chairman in the same category as Rinspeed.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Fritz, fritz what am I going to do with you? The post is information on a Porsche! I cannot help it if the factory did not build it.

Regarding its look, it is vastly more attractive than the 997TT. He has a very aggressive and sexy look as opposed the 997TT wimpish VW appearance. However, I could do without the huge tail.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

I met Uwe, real snobby prick....
His cars look crap too, so don't buy one.
nberry i'm not surprised you like it, your an attention seeking sociopath.
This baby should suit you just fine

    wow!

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

    Tough Audience!

Well you can always leave Uwe alone and visit Herr Ruf

    His Supercharged 997 is fantastic

I agree with Nick about the looks of the Turbo. Those rear and side strakes look cheesy. I know they work blah blah blah but overall the 997TT looks like it was styled by a neurotic. No I havent see one personally, but yes I can look at the wheels, spoiler and intakes and see a busy and convoluted mess superimposed over the regular 997.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

shades of what the turbo should've/could've looked like...

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Sorry Nick, but that pimped-up Turbo looks pretty tasteless IMO.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

It looks good to me. Tone it down a bit and it would have been,IMO, the perfect replacement for the 996TT.

Totally agree... the Ruf is what the TT should've looked like. Gorgeous car.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Unfortunately it looks too much like a Porsche trying to be a Ferrari to me.

Herr Ruf is where to go methinks

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

For me the real thing is this one, no doubt about it:

    0-100km/h in 3.0sec and 0-200 in 8.5sec

Love the front end ...IMHO, the best and cleanest by far

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

whats the power curve of the avalanche's engine?

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

I actuall y think it looks kinda cool... It's very over the top but I like the mini CarreraGT look..

Come on.... Rinspeed has the best aftermarket kit/mod for the 997 IMO...
    Heres the Rinspeed Indy.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

    like the rear wing...CLASSIC

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

i'll take the sportec body with the RUF engine & drivetrain

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Rinspeeed needs to ditch the Pong era graphics!

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

I love the concept "form follows function".....Design by Porsche

I guess I'm more conservative than some.

Yeap... the car should be normal Arctic...nooo Polar silver with normal coloured wheels as well

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Lovin that Ruf -- especially the rear air intakes. Kinda like a 959 or 993 TurboS.

    it looks like an avalanche

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Does not look elegant to me. Purity of design for function and not design for a kit car add on look. Looks like a Japanese racer boy car.

Re: The 997TT performance has already been upstaged by

Same here --- does not look have the agressive yet classy look of the 997 turbo!
