Luckily it's almost impossible in the Boxster to heel and toe when wearing high heels. i would wear out the right shoes earlier than the left ones and those are mostly expensive shoes!

Ironically, in the older 911's with bottom hinged pedals, I used to find it easier to heel and toe when wearing dress shoes with a bit of a heel than when wearing flat soled shoes.

The last shot reveals the rear sits but, we don't know how the top will retract behind them.

I like what I see, but if they reintroduces the old targa-style they should go all the way by offering a package similar to the 50 years-edition with some vintage paint choices to make the concept work.

Targa is certainly a very very nice looking car! Good job on bringing the true element of Targa back! However, that Safari 911 is just one big joke maybe....

Give it an air suspension too to be able to raise and lower the chassis and I bet it would find quite a lot buyers all over the world. Interesting concept.

Similar in concept to the Lamborghini show car Parcour by Giugiaro. That also had variable height.

There is nothing "stupid" about the targa. It may not be to your personal taste but it is a genius bit of marketing by Porsche. There are plenty of buyers who like the idea of an open air 911 but have never like the awkward styling of the cabrio which completely loses the iconic "911" outline with the roof down and ends up with a rather heavy looking rear. The targa answers that point perfectly for those potential buyers and at a very modest development cost to Porsche as it essentially utilises the same basic bodyshell and components as the cabrio. It also re-inforces the historic lineage of the model and introduces a unique body style in it's segment. That uniqueness alone will guarantee it being a sales success in what has now become a fashion driven market.
