Actually, I wait for RC to assess them asap wet and dry conditions, before the Bavarian winter.

I've heard so much + and - about the P Zero.

Right now, only two tires are approved for the 991 Turbo S. The Pirelli PZero and the UHP tire Dunlop SportMaxx.
The winter tire is also from Pirelli, the Sottozero Winter.

Out of curiosity. You are leasing the car, so why are you so diligent with the break-in period?

I love cars. So I kind of have issues not breaking them in. Smiley

My dealer once gave me a 991 CS Cab and told me to floor it. I just couldn't do it, the car was brandnew. Only after a couple of hundreds of kms, I warmed up to it and finally took it a little bit faster. Smiley

You should see me in loaned cars from friends: I treat them better than my own car(s). My last (loaned) ride was a SLS and the car just had 600 km onboard. I couldn't really enjoy it because I was always afraid I'm driving too hard in it. Smiley

I also have that old prejudice in mind that proper break-in results in a better performance of the car. Not sure how true this is nowadays with modern cars but hey, I'm kind of old fashioned. Smiley

I need to check with the latest manual (I was stupid not taking it with me when the car arrived, forgot about it Smiley).

If there is no specific break-in recommendation (haven't checked yet), I will drive the first 500 km under 4000 rpm, the next 500 km under 4500 rpm and then take it faster slowly. No launch control before 3000 km though and no permanent full throttle (Vmax driving on the Autobahn) before 2000 km. I try however to reach 2000 km before the winter comes, so I can drive the car at Vmax once before I need to switch to the winter wheels.

It looks just right. Agate is pretty nice.

Personally, I still do not like CL wheels at all. I will probably go for Sport Classic options...

    Re: Born Sept. 27th, 2013

I checked out the 2 TTS at my dealer . One is for a client and the second one is now exposed on the floor for sale ( black with carbon )

Thank you. I have the same manuals for my iPhone/iPad but the Turbo isn't there...yet.

Also, this is the US version of the manual with, I think, different break-in recommendations (not sure though).

Here is the break-in instruction for the 991 Carrera models:

Looks great RC! Is it as wide IRL as it looks in the pictures? I for one am not so sure about the wheels, looks a bit blingy... I'd probably prefer them covered in brake dust. smiley

Yes, indeed. Pretty fat butt (or as a gentleman would say: nice curves). Smiley

Rims covered in brake dust? Well...PCCB...chance is slim. Smiley I try my best though.

Thanks. Smiley No, this time, no possibilities. I think the dealer had a customer waiting for the Panamera Turbo S (it was gone the day after I returned it to the dealer) and the deal was unique, also I cannot put more money into cars, my wife would kill me. Thats it for now but I may go for the facelift in three or four years, depends.

RC, gorgeous car! SmileySmileySmiley  The red stitching you chose for the steering wheel looks very subtle, at least judging from your pictures.  I love the " Turbo S" lettering on the front door! looks very cool.  Can you order them in different colors, or is the color pre- determined by the color of the car? I would assume for e.g. that on a black car the lettering would be white-ish.  Also, does the CF in the cabin come standard with the red/ black interior?

Enjoy the car, I am very glad that it made it in time for you son's birthday. Smiley

    Thanks, Ziggy. Smiley

The red stitching on the steering wheel is an option, it doesn't come standard.

The Turbo S lettering on the door(s) is available in black or silver (you can choose either, no matter what exterior color).

The CF comes standard with the Turbo S, only the PDK gear lever CF was optional.

Yes, I am glad the car arrived in time, Porsche seems to love kids (and loyal customers apparently). Smiley
