my london OPC has confirmed builds for march 14
Does he know if the Targa will come in Turbo/Turbo S flavor too? I still can't get a clear picture about that, too many confusing rumors.

at this stage only 4 and 4s
have you ever owned a turbo?
i currently own the 991s and never owned a turbo so wondering if it will be a fun enough upgrade but i love the whole look and concept of the targa.
My first Turbo was a 996, then I owned a 997 Turbo for five years. Tomorrow I pick up my 991 Turbo S at my dealer. So I guess, yes...I have owned a Turbo.
The idea of a Turbo S Targa sounds quite appealing to me and there have been various rumors in the past that Porsche may extend the Targa models from 4/4S to Turbo/S too but so far, I get very confusing rumors (one tells me that the Turbo Targa has the green light, the other one tells me that there were technical issues and the Turbo Targa project has been stopped). Now what?
The new Targa is surely going to be a very nice model, considering the new roof mechanism which is fully automatic and works quite well. There is a downside though but I guess Porsche will announce the Targa at some point this year or early next year, so...surprise, surprise.

ok - weight.....(i assume)
i love driving but dont track so any fractions of seconds dont freak me out so much.
the 991s is pretty powerful for me - although its natural to always want more power hence why i would be interested in the turbo.....however, i love the pse and i know the debate has been had but keen to drive it in real life as all the senses are important to me

perfect balance of open air motoring without the canvas which im not too keen on.
i think it will be the best looking model
Canvas? You are aware that the Cab roof isn't really made of canvas, it is actually a "metal" roof, just covered with canvas?

the back seats
Is that really true??
That would mean that I canceled my order last week for nothing!
Decided to wait for the Targa, but when that has no back seat, it's the next disappointment. Think I'm done with porsche!!!

Yes, on the german forums they discuss that the Targa will have no back seats, which I find hard to believe. Being a 2+2 seater was always a 911 trademark. But now even RC mentioned it, so it seems to be possible.
I just know that there was some sort of issue with the back seats but the latest thing I heard was that the back seats are there but can only be used with the roof closed. Not sure how Porsche solved this problem, if there was such a problem, so it remains to be seen. I think that one German car magazine claimed that there won't be any back seats at all but in my opinion, this would actually "kill" the Targa.

How many times you have changed or canceld your order??? You can wait for the Targa, but then the facelifted 991 will come, and you'll wait again and again. You can wait for the newest model forever Perhaps you should just make your decision once and get the car already.

Yes AMS claimed that indeed, but I couldn't believe it. They finally come up with a true Targa instead if just a large sunroof. If that would mean that the back seats are not usable it would indeed kill the Targa. At least for me...
Now i start getting regrets that I canceled instead of changed the color last week....
