    Here's the bracket  my Singer pal gave me to replace yours.  Why can't you deliver this or better?  Your customers are price insensitive, so .... WTF?  Why not deliver a cohesive package?

    Last May, the first avalanche [which blocked our progress 25 May, 2019]  on this road was 7 miles behind us here, this is a light snow year.  Finally the ridge line is in view after a long hike -  still  6 weeks to drive to here and maybe 2 months to get to the jump off 3 miles on.  Progresskiss

    Agreed, maybe also something more stealth.

    I still wonder why no radar warner manufacturer makes actually car specific packages to hide this thing? They would sell pretty well in my opinion. I would offer such packages for the most likely car model "candidates", can't be too expensive to develop and to offer. Smiley Oh well...what do I know about this stuff, probably not much. Smiley

    For my phone holders, I have used Brodit for the last few years; they have a modular approach, where one part is where you place the holder in your car, and the second part is where you put your phone in the holder. You can swap both out in case you get a new phone or a new car, and they have different placements (on the vents, attached to the windscreen, connected to the dashboard, etc.) Very convenient way of working. Nothing too fancy, but it works really well.

    The RR has continued to start, run and get us home.  For now.... 

    When the auctions re-open, Seneca will likely blow it out and get a new Ford Raptor or a 4Runner TRD Pro per Joe Rockhead.  Raptors are $5k under and TRDs window.

    Honestly, the Range Rover really look uncomfortable and out of place on anything other than smooth tarmac despite what Land Rover tells people.

    Honestly, The RR has met its brief for us well:  strong passing power on 90-140 mph 1000 miles runs with 4 Labs comfortably carried with luggage, and step off the pavement in mild low range.  It's certainly less uncomfortable off road than a Cayenne Turbo S which could do the runs, but the mildest of tracks stop it dead - speaking from experience, and is way too small.

    The RR does well in the mud, snow and rocky roads we travel daily, Not a chance in a Macan or Cayenne turbo.  It's much more all around capable. Yes, it had a starter failure. but that compared favourably to the complete Porsche suspension failure I documented in this thread.

    Now that our travel mix is 20% pavement and 80% tracks, time to go beefier.  The Rubicon gets it done off road but only goes 90 mph comfortably on road.

    Hell will break loose if that happened..... Go to the gallery in the link you've sent and you'll see the low range selector in the fifth image. Similar to this below

    It's the same drivetrain in my LX570 and it is a great one, one of the last few off-roaders that are also good on road.

    Thank you very much for your help AP911!.  So would you consider the Land Cruiser more capable off road than the Sequoia TRD Pro?  Seems it might be the best high speed road muncher/off road low ranger...? And what about the 4runner trd pro?  ould it be slightly more capable off road, but less luxury and less road speed? The other alternative is a Ford Raptor, which of course has less room inside for the Labs, just the back seat..

    Also, can I remove the third row seats from the Land Cruiser? It looks like the second row does not fold flat so I would likely remove the left side one as well. Thanks

    Also, does it have an off road height selection?

    Would very much appreciate your opinion.

    Owned four 100 series and currently a 200. Old school, regular gas (eats it quick though 15 MPG), manufactured in Japan- they've all been bulletproof.

    Took my rear seats out day 1.....15 min job, 4 bolts (2 each for fold up seats). We have 2 full size standard poodles and they have tons of moving around room  + head room.

    The only thing that would tempt me away from the Land cruiser is the Ford Raptor, but as you said it's tight in the back. It's really a fun offroader, with more capabilities that you'll know what to do with. I've driven the raptor extensively and it's a great one.

    As the others have mentioned, the Land Cruiser might the most reliable car in the world, and the 3rd row can easily be removed.

    The only vehicle that comes with height selection is the LX570, it's a hydraulic system which makes it more reliable than air suspension systems. The Land Cruiser used to come with hydraulic but not anymore as far as I know. Anyways, it has a good approach angles and you could add a lift kit to it if needed but I doubt you'll need to. 

    The second row seats can be folded in two ways and I could send you pictures if needed. I used to fit 2 road bikes inside so there is plenty of room.

    Very cool RC, but the Dodge dealer says it's vapour ware, not delivering any time soon!!!  So it looks like Land Cruiser vs Raptor....  Is there a new bigger engine coming for the Raptor, RC?

    Still snowy once we hiked past our favourite jump off.

    The snow near the headwaters of the So, Woody River is still up to 4 feet deep.  When not just 2 legged but 4 legged animals are post holing in deep snow, the hike in polite terms is ... good exercise.

    What about the Lexus  LX570 ? Wouldn't that be exactly the  Land Cruiser but  with more luxurious  features ?  As you are coming from the RR it would be closer to it .

    The grill on the recent Lexus models reminds me of a Cylon helmet. Can’t unsee it now.
