PCCB - not a cool option
This is regarding my Cayenne TT'12. PCCB - a $10k option that is advertized almost as lifetime investment with superior breaking and reduced weight.
I had a problem with vibration on breaking - the steering wheel would vibrate. Got the front breaks replaced and was the happiest camper...
I have 12K km on the odometer and now my front breaks are starting to squeek. My friend at the service told me - we checked them there is some overheating damage, but overall the breaks look ok. And yes, they are PCCBs-they always squeek. WTF? Is this true? Do you pay $10k extra to sound like a schoolbus at the stop signs?
And what overheating? Weren't PCCBs supposed to be ok with "overheating"? I never tracked the car, never took it to insane speeds or applied breaks like a madman... What do you guys think? Are they trying to cheap out of replacing the breaks under the warranty?
