Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

i am still guessing the new front lights are like the 958; smoother without the wavy lines - maybe adopting that new "eyebrow" look of the 991 & 958 as opposed to the floating led strip and with that bringing up the top lines  of the front grill.

tail lights lower and smaller but no where near the 991 style.

dropping the rear window line and creating more window

Last thing I heard was a Grand Turismo derived front light design and backlights slighly smaller with different LED graphics (lines instead of dots). A year or so ago, I was told that, like you said, the curvy thing in the lower part of the frontlights would disappear but apparently they changed it? Smiley I am currently swamped with work and I also have a serious cold, so I didn't have much time to look into it (a friend told me that he already saw the FINAL PRESS PHOTOS and I envy him because I didn't).

Final press photos? This means the final car is ready; what is taking Porsche so damn long to unveil these things? They have an insanely busy year ahead of them [GT3, 918, 991 Turbo, 991 50th Anniversary Edition, Macan] and they're holding up tighter than a drum...

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

I have seen simply in the last 3 days 6 cars driving around on the Autobahn. Seems the Panamera Facelift is now in the final beta-testing phase! Same as the new S-Class, there is no day where you don't see any - they are spread like Golf's around here!

My sources indicate that FL will be presented at Shanghai in April.  Very logical since Panamera was initially introduced there...

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

New spy pics with very little camo.

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

Two different front aprons... I hope one of those isn't a new Sports Design Kit!

    Thanks for sharing!

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

One regular, one for turbo/gts. As always.

From what I could imagine, the front lights may have great potential too...?

I was talking about the front lights. Smiley This is how the new LED front lights look (you can't see the whole front light shape though, it is still camouflaged but you can see the LED beams.

Ok I understand it better now. Very exciting to see how this unravels....

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

Although much better than the current one, still not sure yet about the regular apron. But the headlights seem to be a good step forward.

They had to change something, no?! Smiley The next Panamera will please more people, I'mm pretty sure about it. Unfortunately the next generation won't be a small(er) car either, so don't expect something looking much smaller. I rather think that we may see a smaller sedan from Porsche at some point, based on a next generation Audi A4 or A6 platform. Smiley This would perfectly match the Macan.

Did they change the front-light shape?

The rear could have been more dramatically changed... pity!

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

The rear does not look better , as it makes the car look higher

Re: Panamera Facelift...according to latest info, not in 2012

There's no camo on these cars aside from a few stickers; all the fake bumpers and hard materials are gone.

From what I can see, the front lights have changed dramatically - the wave at the bottom is gone, they're narrower and don't stretch into the hood as much as the older lights and they closely mimic the shape of the lights on the Panamera Sport Turismo concept. The chrome headlight washers are also gone and are now replaced by the small rising jets like on the 958 Cayenne.

The overall rear light shape is the same but the design inside has changed; 981-like accent light and two rows of brake LEDs, indicators at the bottom of the light cluster and what looks to be two LEDs at the bottom inside corners of the lights in the same row of the indicators.

Not sure how I feel about the new front bumpers and the design of the new indicator/DRL light clusters. Maybe its color-sensitive, maybe there's some inconspicuous camouflage or maybe it just doesn't look good, but something seems a bit off. It looks like the GTS/Turbo models get the split blade design from the Sport Turismo, just on a tighter and more subtle scale. Did anyone notice a small camera in the front bumper of one of the Turbo models? Looks like we're getting a 360-degree camera system this time around.

I like the new rear bumper, but I don't think it makes the car look any less massive. The manual release for the tailgate is now gone as it blends seamlessly into the bumper; maybe Porsche will have some sort of touch sensor or kicking-motion release for it? I'm also glad that the new tailpipes are more closely integrated into the body; the current exhaust pipes on the V6 models for example are hideous with the way they just stick out of the body.

As for the interior, my guess is that we'll get a larger PCM screen in the neighborhood of 8 inches similar to the one seen in the last Macan interior spy shot. I'm also expecting new color options like the black/beige on the Platinum Edition. The interesting thing about the Panamera is that it was the first Porsche to usher in the new design language for the interior and vehicle technology; I'm guessing a lot of stuff that we'll see on the Macan and future models will be previewed with this facelift before being introduced across the board.

Things should get really interesting when the all-new Panamera arrives with the next-generation design and technology it'll preview for the Porsche range...

All the above cars still have camo, this is not the final design (the rear lights are slightly smaller with LED lines instead of dots) and the front lights have a different shape and LED lights optional but I think I said that over and over again ).
