He raced both cars this year at Le Mans classic.

The only car that can rival the 250 GTO in terms of value for me would be the P4, probably the most beautiful car in the world (along with the 250 SWB imho).

But at those kind of numbers, it's all a bit silly.

From Porsche, absolutely not, but tha'ts just my opinion. The most expansive Porsche was the Salzburg 917.

I could be wrong. Maybe Bugatti (Atlantic) and Mclaren (the Uono clinic GTR if it ever gets sold).

But not to the over $30m.

Ferrari is a very special brand.

The day the Bardinon family decides to sell their P4, I reckon it will break the $50m barrier.

Thanks for the info! Found an info that the most expensive cars are bugatti atlantic and Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. The last one has a price of around 60 mil today... Smiley

About p4, chassis 0858 was going to be sold at about 8 mln euro in 2009 but failed... The most beautiful chassis imho. Can am converted car.

Francois, from auctions I mostly see serial cars, LM protos and GTs. Why F1 cars aren't being auctioned? The only one from recent memory - failed to be sold for 2 mln maserati 250f - Moss Monaco win car.

Beyond belief! you are to be congratulated many times over for the manner in which you both enjoy and share your collection with us. Having the resources to assemble such a magnificent collection just isn't enough for me , many or at least some people do. You obviously take your collection very seriously as evidenced by the manner in which you utilize and maintain these magnificent machines for their intended purpose. Many don't . I get no enjoyment from seeing a fine historic racing car that has been restored to the level it was made at Patek Phillipe. Enjoy to the max, oh and please get a few more when the right candidates surface.
