    Re: VID: 997tt at Weissach

Just in case some of you didn't notice:

this spectacular video has been done on WET pavement. It is absolutely incredible how the driver can control the 997 Turbo THAT precisely on wet pavement. And since there is still some snow visible, I'd say that the (summer-) tires weren't really perfect for this run.

I doubt that you can do the same at the same speeds with any other car on this planet. And I mean it.

    Re: VID: 997tt at Weissach

The first impression this gives you is GRIP!! and some people forget, paper figures are nice but in the real world, you only have as much power as the one you can actually lay on the road

    Re: VID: 997tt at Weissach

Great video. Thanks for posting Rossi.
I was also amazed to see how easily it was being driven in the wet.

    Gallardo, RC??

No doubt a Gallardo could easily replicate that.

As for grip, I suppose AWD and a handful of electronics sure helps. But, the turbo seems to lack stability around the corners. It doesn't look as planted as the Gt3.

"seems to lack stability around the corners" pffff... seems like the Turbo is making some "people" nervous thats a good sign

He wouldn't admit the car's proficiency even if you strapped on booster rockets on the back and could make it levitate. Some people just prefer to stick to their wrong opinions.

Are you sure you've watched the Weissach video very carefully? Try to watch it again several times, I doubt that a Gallardo would be able to do that. And you could definetely NOT do that in a GT3. No way. Like I said before...this has happened on WET pavement, temperatures slightly above zero degrees celsius and summer tires. There was a 996 Turbo for comparison, it failed miserably in comparison, unfortunately you can't see that in this video.

What you actually see in this video is the perfect combination of the new VTG technology in combination with the new electronically controlled AWD system. Some people don't seem to realize how spectacular the new AWD system is, I hope the press will do a good work and actually explain it over the next few months.

    Re: VID: 997tt at Weissach

I think it has amazing grip, never seen any thing like it . If some body doesn't see it in this clip.. man..I feel sorry for you.. you have no idea about cars

    April fools was yesterday.

    Re: VID: 997tt at Weissach

That is a jaw dropper. This is going to be the most versatile - no, simply the best true sportscar and daily driver the world has ever seen.

I wish I could afford one. Typical PAG - keeps me wanting more!

    Re: VID: 997tt at Weissach

I was on the fence about getting the G, the 997TT snapped my head. The ability to put 100% power to the front has got to be why it screws around the track like that.
