Um, i am wondering, It looks like they have finalized everything. Now we know how it looks, the figures and stuff. Don't you guys think that they should have unveiled it in Paris. 1 year to go!!! that is a lot of time to go :'(
We are going to get bored of it until the final release in Frankfurt 2013 :(

They haven't unveiled it officialy, only for clients)
anyway there can be the changes;) maybe performance, maybe some minor elements. As Futch said there are some events for clients in future, so i think we will see some improve.
Talking about design concept - it is great one, even after 2010 concept can unveil. Car looks very special and what I like the most, you can look at it for 1 minute and draw it because there are no korean-japanese curves like ferrari do. Form follows function in its best. True Porsche design)

Yeah of course only for clients :3 hahaha
I mean you know, they might do minor changes like engine tweaks.... but 1 year !! Early 2013 would be great in my opinion. Unless they've still got a Lot of work to be done.

Unbelievably beautiful car Futch, thanks for the pictures. Its a very sepcial car, not only because its one of the sexiest cars out there but because of its technology and uniqueness, and also looks like very usable too. In the Martini Racing colors its should be mind blowing in real life

@Futch: It looks very modern, very impressive without going over the top with overstyling and busy ornaments. A true Porsche!
Congratulations!!
What colour did you choose? Perhaps, you mentioned but I missed it.
Anyway, I'm getting mine in GT Silver

Gt silver is a great choice! I'd like to know what Rodhium silver looks like, I've never heard about that color.
Liquid metal looks amazing, but the price is absurd, totally absurd. For 50k euros, I'd rather buy a 550 Maranello (which I did) or even a brand new Boxster!!!
I don't know the price of the Weissach package but I fear the worse.
Yes Carlos, the Martini is fabulous but my balls are not big enough to take the plunge, it's awesome, but you do look like a bit of a tool driving around with a car with racing liveries on. \
My 4.0 for exemple is great but taht is is how far I'd be ready to go as far as decals are concerned. The Singer will have Porsche decals on the side and that's it.
I think GT Silver is fantastic but I'd like to see Rodhium.
Jaguar do a Rhodium Silver for the XJ, which is a white shade of silver, rather bright.
I think that with the Martini or Salzburg livery no one will take the car/driver seriously outside a race track or the circle of Porsche fans who know the history.

If any car can pull the Martini colors off with class thats the 918, especially if they are only available with the Weissach package, but I agree its a bit more flashy and not for everyone, I would not have the balls either.
Though personally I'm not a fan of any shade of grey/silver on such a car because it dulls its down and gets tiresome quickly. With the exception maybe of a very light and bright silver version. And black would hide the details too much. Liquid metal's cost is just simply ridiculous
If iit were me I would go with a light color that has at least some hue to it. But which ever color you can't go wrong in a car like the 918, it will make any color look great.
Any posibility of paint-to-sample so as to have an even more origial 918... though I'm afraid of the price if so

THE BEST PIC BY FAR!!!!
close to 600 Nm of torque at 0 rpm, 850 Nm of torque at 2000rpm, over 700 Nm all the way to 7000 rpm, Mama mia!!!
This is just INSANE!!!!
Hmm, they are talki ng about a "crackshaft", I hope this is not a bad omen for the future car?

Well spotted, oh mein gott, zomeone screwed up on the offiziale brochure jaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!
Still, ever since I saw that graph, I'm trying to visualise what it must feel like to experience 600 Nm at 0 rpm.
I think the Turbo S has something like 600 Nm at 2000 rpm and that's badass fast. But from 0 rpm!
The power figures are spectacular, the consumption, an engineering tour de force, but torque is king, torque is what allows to put the hp on the road and that car just seems to be a nuclear torque factory on four wheels!
Yes it's heavy but when you have so much torque!!!

Judging from what its competitor is going to look like, it'll have the hypercar market to its own.
Meet the frankly hideous McLaren P1.

No contest. The previous McLaren looked too plain and outdated, and now this one goes too far in the opposite direction and looks as if designed by an adolescent
