it was pleasant to travel dirt and gravel this year with lugnuts instead of the centerlocks on the turbo s cab last year. just carried an alu jack, lug wrench, patch kit and 5 foam cans... instead of the center lock tools. much less worry if i needed to fly in a tyre and have it mounted locally in wyoming.
the new flip up auto windscreen is much better as it does not take permanent space like the one in the turbo s

for Chance's benefit and anyone else who runs long in a Porsche with dogs -- the BIG breakthrough in 991 technology is you can leave the car running air con on for him and lock the car with the second key!!!! Seemes simple but in the turbo s 997, you could manually lock the drivers door but not the passenger. great for shopping and meetings when its 105 degrees F.

Very nice dog friendly modifications. 
Chance is actually a yellow-lab, golden retriever, and greyhound mix.
He weighs in at less than 100 lbs, but those legs can reach beyond his own control. He only rides in back in any of our vehicles. (At least until we are out of the car).

i,ll title more pix but look at the map on the dash in first pic, where Sun is standing dirty in the car and snoozing is the base of highline granite trail marked on the map 30 m southeast of Jackson,wy. The jagged mountains are the grand Tetons. The dirt roads parked and the red rocks are central Utah. I,ll be more specific....

Chance may also appreciate my custom dog guard - i got tired of Sun raising the spoiler, turning on the flashers, etc. he can still shift me to manual or neutral when hes sleeping, but the center buttons are covered:)
Guess on long-distance trips you should let him drive...

differenr scenery, heres the small town of manti, utah coming up into san pete county, a nice farming valley with mountains on either side acting as water reservoirs, and heading north into spring city and mt pleasant. old stone, the temple, old america, self sufficient sustainable life.
