    Re: Panamera estate

I don't understand why all car magazines assume that the Panamera facelift gets the 911 backlights. yes

The Panamera back is huge, these "thin" lights wouldn't really look good.

I don't know, I kind of like them on the 991 but I can't imagine to see them on a bigger car like the Panamera...or even the upcoming Macan for that matter.

That would diminish the brand so much.

Actually considering the Porsche already has 1 SUV, 1 due in the future, and a bloated sedan, it can't really get too much worse.

And actually, I think a Panamera Estate would be a million times better than the ugly bloated coupe. Bring it on!

I'm with you, that body lends itself to a "shooting brake" concept.

    Re: Panamera estate

I wonder what name Porsche will choose for it (privided they build it), had some fun thinking about it:

    • Panamera Estate  (sounds like the name of a billionaire mansion)
    • Panamera Station Wagon (too normal)
    • Panamera Shooting Brake (already used)
    • Panamera Sport Wagon (Alfa Romeo had this one already)
    • Panamera Club Wagon ?

I guess a functional description might not work so a new fantasy name (a la Macan) would need to be created.  What is your take on it?

    Re: Panamera estate

I would call it "Panamera Turismo".

It relates to the other "latin" origin names used by Porsche, like Carrera, Targa and Panamera itself (from Panamericana).

It also sounds good and it is easy to pronounce in a uniform way internationally, unlike Macan and Cayenne.

I don't know why Smiley but there are a lot of Porsche tractor enthusiasts around Zuffenhausen.
If the tractor is well restored, the dealer will get his price.
I've played with the idea of buying a Junior myself, though I never really had the room to store it warm and dry. The days when you could pick one up from a farmer for maybe €1500 are well past.
