My Carrera GT needed the same thing last year. It was built in early January 2005, so six to seven years is expected life of TPMS sensors.
The price seems in the same range as I paid.

Carlos from Spain:
The problem is that the batteries cnnot be replaced, they are "fused" to the sensor's themselves so when the batteries run out, you have to replace al four sensors. But I replaced mine and they charged me somewhere around 500-600€ I think.
Wow, you got robbed. My 4 news extra ones cost like $90 a pop, and we already get shafted by Porsche pricing.
Whoopsy:

Carlos may be talking about installed pricing. I think four sensors at $90 each uninstalled sounds about right.

I just changed tires (michelin Cup's again) on the RS - and since I didn't bought it from a official Porsche-Garage (they were +30% more expensive) they charged me 443 Sfr for FITTING only.....- I found it rather ridiculous....but wanted to do it in a official dealer because of the center-lock and 600nm etc....
