RC:
Thanks for your moral support over the past couple of weeks, guys.
Here are the photos (sorry for the quality).
Look at the build date...30.04.2012. Ouch.
Made ready for transport on May 16th 2012. Ouch again.

Christian,
LG
Finally...here is a photo of the "unwrapped" car, quality is not that good but you get an idea.
I will pick it up this evening but it may take a couple of days until I can post better photos, sorry.

Looks fabulous RC ... I can just picture you in that black beast :)
With the model delete option, there will be other drivers on the Autobahn scratching their heads unable to understand how a 'mere sedan' can move so fast ...
Can't wait to read your performance stats for the PTTS with Powerkit compared to the loaner car ...

Conny997:
Sorry, forgot a question:
Is this basalt Black or flat Black?
For me it looks like flat Black
This is flat black. The basalt black metallic is too shiny for me.
The car looks amazing in person, the photo doesn't do it justice.

...RC, you may want to keep the warning sticker "wide version / extrem breit " on the car......
For the car or for me?

For the car or for me?
......................................
Certainly, I meant it for the car, since we are only car enthusiasts here, aren't we ?.......
Coming back to the more important subject: first, congrats to your new car - it looks stunning. Secondly, when looking into the show room of my preferred P-dealer last week, I realized that ALL new models (boxsters, 911, Panas, Cayennes) in show room were black - is this a new trend or just marketing to appeal to each and everybody's liking ?

Thank you.
As to the dealer showroom part, I can only take a guess: For dealers, it is easier to move cars fast with a color, which is in high demand. Like black for example. My dealer has a white Boxster S and a red Panamera GTS and one of the sales persons actually told me today that he isn't sure these were the right color choices for showroom cars, cars which are supposed to be sold to spontaneous customers.
I ordered black because I always loved black. Black with black painted wheels is my favorite combo. I know that people have different tastes (thanks god, otherwise it would be boring) but black in black is my favorite combo, can't help it.

Another photo (sorry, not that great either).
Stupid question, do you get the same front as on a standard turbo? I thought you will get the same as I have (Sport Design Paket)???
You need a Polfilter when taking foots of your shiny car :)
The lights inside the dealership are not good for taking photos and I used my iPhone for the photos.
No, I didn't order the Sport Design package because it actually makes aerodynamics worse (not that it really matters for my purpose but I had to draw a line at cost...the car is almost 200k EUR).
I regret not ordering three things though:
1. Sport exhaust tailpipes (the titanium ones...)
2. Rear 8-way comfort seats with sport seats
3. Lane Change Assist (I have it in my C63 and I got used to it)

Aaaah the old fashion way of Porsche overcharging and almost everything is missing I remember there was no Burmester system, LCA, A.Cruise Control, 21" Wheels, PCCB etc.... in my CTT

Awesome Car! Beautiful color!
are those Pirelli p zero tires?

@BiTurbo: My car is fully loaded, incl. Burmester but I really had to draw the line at some point. I might retrofit the tail pipes though...they really look better.
@ag23: Yes, unfortunately Pirelli PZero. Which is kind of weird because the production information tire code said Michelin (not the type though). They may have exchanged the tires in the waiting process (car was ready April 30th) but this is just a wild guess. I would have loved to get the SuperSport N0 but apparently it isn't available for customers yet.

BlackOctober:
RC, with this black/black combo you should put this plate on the car......
Funny that you mention it: My dealer suggested that the car looks very Mafia-like and other drivers may be afraid of me. Not sure if this was supposed to be a joke but if they let me pass in peace, I won't do them any harm...

They likely drove the car a few thousand miles and wore out the Michellins, reset the speedo and then put the Pirellis on. Love the car! Great color combo - given I have Black on Black with PCCB. Use with care - hope to see the performance results (w/o kids in the car) - PROST!
I enjoy reading the German comments - sehr gut!
