For a perfect Porsche garage now only missing a CGT :)

959 will always have priority over a CGT........................

Agree, but a CGT is a Porsche to have as well. Mindblowing sound of the V10 and the look/design is amazing IMHO. Each time I see a CGT, it's hard for me to realise that the car was produced 13 years ago.

959/GT1 don't need any comments, I think every Porsche enthusiast would sell a soul for these cars :)

+1 vote on the amber turn signals, looks soooo much better.

And +1 on the M030 suspension!

OMG, there was no ergonomics in a 964.

Seems like when they design the interior, they forgot there will be switches. They are EVERYWHERE! Porsche basically stashes them wherever they find space, or feel like. Who would have thought to look under the gauges to find the sunroof switch!!!

Next step might be to add a 930 turbo (1989 with 5 gears). You will be amazed by how much more vintage the predecessor of the 964 turbo feels (steering, brakes, suspension, even the interior...) Smiley

Best thing with these cars is one does not constantly need to exchange them - they are what they are. Today and also in 20 years Smiley

Yes, that would be the dream garage... GT4, 959 and 968 Turbo. All truly Porsche, but different designs and special in their way Smiley

Ok, so two to go... Smiley

😂 it took me some time to get used to them in my 964. I even needed to draw me a reminder of where they were and what function they had 😂😂

....... I believed it had heavier sway bar and adjustable ones. .....

3.3 and 3.6 964's Turbo's had 21mm F and 22mm R sway bars, that were not adjustable. Only the RS had adjustable sway bars. The base 964 was both 20mm F and R and the M030 Sport option was 22mm F and 20mm R.

Re: 918 latest news Thread Closed

How many street legal versions did Porsche make of the 1996 and 1997 GT1s?  20 or 25 each?  And it's a shame that there's only one street legal 1998 GT1.

Yes I know about that car too, but it is not in Canada so I had to import it and I didn't like the tan leather inside, the Bad Boys car had black interior Smiley

Plus, I paid a lot less that what that car is asking Smiley

Makes you wonder what will the hammer price is. Always sort of like a gamble to go to auction to buy cars, maybe some will be a steal but others might be a senseless bidding war.

    I much prefer private transactions.

Re: 918 latest news Thread Closed

Vey nice Nick - I see you got your yellow R!

Re: 918 latest news Thread Closed

PS Have you taken delivery yet? I pick mine up tomorrow Sydney time (about 14 hours from now) post clear wrap.

Am giving you stiff competition for the gong for the last RT R to be delivered...

Re: 918 latest news Thread Closed

Depends on how you count as delivery :)

I am taking the car today and will be driving it to Italy to visit Ferrari and Lamborghini before returning to Stuttgart and do another factory and museum tour. Then they shop my car back to Canada so I can take a proper home town delivery in about 6-10weeks

Why did you choose Leipzig for collection? Because of the race-track?

Did they gave you a set of winter tires for your trip?
