Re: 2012 Spanish F1 Grand Prix at Barcelona
Perfect race from Maldonado! I don't know what the team did with the car but hats off!! this season is crazy.
And Alonso is back leanding the championship tied with Vettel... who would of thought after we left the last GP... never count him out no matter what.
So far five different cars have won a race this year, unbelievable! the season is completely open and unpredictable. If this trend continues throughout the season, it means that the winner is going to be the most consistent driver able to make the fewest mistakes, capitalise on the opportunies and maintain a consistent performance thought the varying circumstances from GP to GP. IMO this is Alonso's territory IF Ferrari can maintain a minimally competitive performance from the car. Judging from this GP it seems they are catching up (although Massa would indicate the opposite and Alonso too much, so I guess it would be an average) but this season who knows, maybe in the next GP they don't even make it into the Q3.
The team Ferrari is in fourth place in the constructors championship with 63 points, what is really unacceptable is that out of those 63 points, 61 are from Alonso and 2 are from Massa!! with the same car!!!! Ferrari might as well as leave Massa's car on the pits for the rest of the season and concentrate only on Alonso's
The biggest looser so far this season is McLaren IMO... they have the best car on the grid and two good drivers, yet they all (team and drivers) have made mistake after mistake and have blow away many points and are neither leading the driver's nor the constructor's championships, when they have had everything to do so easily.
BTW, Charles Pic with the Caterham did not deserve a drive through, he deserved a shot in the head
