Whoopsy:When my sister learnt of the accident, she commented "knowing you, you will go out and buy another car".
She is so right. Today I just pulled the trigger on this:
Maybe picking it up Monday or something.
Yes it's not black, but I don't see myself keeping it for long anyway.
Nice choice of specs
Now you may be able to get in on the list of special editions and get insider info, provided you keep the car for more than six months. Have you joined any lambo forums? Cant wait for the inevitable review.

SciFrog:Whoopsy:SciFrog:Nick you are something... Sorry for the F12... It is a shame someone would leave the scene. No security camera around?
Might have traffic cameras looking the right direction, but that's up to the Police to check footage.
Or insurance...
Yeah got full coverage. Mandatory here where I lived.

You know that I officially hate or love you right now, haven't decided yet.
Congratulations...I love it. Unconditionally.
Sorry about that F12 of yours...glad your wife is OK though (only thing that matters).

That Huracan looks phenomenal, many congrats Nick.
Sorry for the F12, most important your wife is okay, but a shame what happened to the car nevertheless.
I would be very interested what you think about the Huracan once you got it, especially compared to its rivals from Maranello like 458, Speciale, 488.

Sorry the hear about the F12 .
A very strange hit !! How did a car makes these holes ? Did it have spikes ? And I am amazed someone would drive away when hitting another car that hard ( if your wife was inside ) !!!!
As to the Huracan, I love it !!!!!! Looking forward to the comparison with the Speciale and RS

A 5 ton moving box truck was driving next to her and turned into her for no reason, I wasn't there to see it first hand but my guess is the steel bumper beam is responsible for ripping the hole there and puncture the rear tire too.
They weren't going very fast, just city block traffic speed, but if it were on a highway, then I don't want to think of the aftermath.
The F12 will stay, but since it will be in the repair shop for a long time (ordering parts, body panels from a Italian company takes forever), it might as well give up its spot in the garage for the time being.
On the surface, a new door, new mirror, new wheel, new tire and some painting. Not sure how the repair will go for the interior door panel, maybe it can be swap over or maybe Ferrari will need to make a new panel, if that's the case then the car could be out of commission for months.
apias:Whoopsy:... Not sure how the repair will go for the interior door panel ...
Whoa, the puncture went all the way through?
Not sure. The window was down, but cannot see if those pesky plastic clips on the panel broke or not, if the clips are broken then the whole piece cannot be used.
Oh, ok, I thought you meant the truck penetrated all the way into the cabin. Obviously that's a pain if you have to replace the interior panel as well (maybe they should just make a new door?) but not the personal hazard of something piercing all the way through the door.
Nick, look at positively. The collision gave you the impetus to buy a gorgeous car.
FWIW, one of the first things I learned about driving an exotic like a Ferrari is other drivers tend to look at your car and not the road thereby created a dangerous situation. AND as I posted regarding my Targa, some are just so envious they do stupid things also creating unsafe conditions.
Finally point, other drivers think that doing damage to an exotic will be costly and think they may not have enough insurance to cover the damage. Thus the hit and run.
