    Don't think it will affect resale value. Of course the parts are expensive, but it's not like every component will fail entirely. Also, the cars barely get drive, so I wouldn't expect much by way of things needing to be replaced.

    All supercars have really expensive parts. Should not affect resale.

    We're talking about a car which was worth ~1 million € MSRP. Its maintenance is as insane as its price, that's all, not a big deal if you ask me.

    Proportionally isn't much more expensive than a ~150k € car.

    I think I saw similar price list for Bugatti some time before. Its a lot more expensive than 918.

    I think I saw similar price list for Bugatti some time before. Its a lot more expensive than 918.

    "the Michelin Pilot Sport 2s fashioned with the Veyron's unique compound cost about $30,000; in the UK they're £23,500 ($38,216 U.S.). Bugatti recommends you change them every 4,000 kilometres"

    $10,000 for a wiper control arm in a Veyron. Also, I think rotors on an Enzo are north of $20,000. Smiley

    Meh, you can run normal tires on a Veyron. You'd have to be crazy to spend $30-40K on some fancy tires.

    I would never run a Veyron without the right tires.  Sure you could pick up some coffee on Sunday morning in Beverly Hills on any rubber than fits, but I'd never drive the car fast without the OEM tires -absolutely life threatening not to...

    IMO, it would be crazy to skimp on tires for a $2MM car that goes 350kph or whatever it does...

    Fritz, here is a ray of sunshine for you. The GT3 is one of the best cars I ever owned. It delivered everything it promised if not more.Smiley I never thought about the 918 repair cost until it was posted here. My opinion is that the 918 is a technical marvel and as a result will require significant maintenance.

    Even the rich don't want to buy a used high maintenance vehicle. Smiley

    Regarding my comments on the R, I just like smoke blown up my ass.Smiley

    For my car there is like 6 campaigns, ranging from programming to fixing a potential coolant hose leak for the battery cooling circuit.
