New V12 sports car for Geneva, Record financial results.
Ferrari has confirmed plans to unveil an "extreme" V12 sports car at the Geneva Motor Show.
Likely the 620 GT, Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo hinted it will be "a revolutionary new car that delivers extreme performance and unprecedented power output." That's a little vague, but previous reports have suggested the car will feature a 6.3-liter V12 engine with approximately 710 PS (522 kW / 700 hp). It will likely be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which sends power to the rear wheels through an electronically locking rear differential.
Ferrari also announced they sold 7,195 cars last year which enabled them to have record revenues of €2.251 ($2.96) billion with a net profit of €209 ($275) million.
Just pulling your leg. Truth be told, extreme supercars and hypercars are meant for talented drivers and not for use in attrocious weather conditions. The magic of purity, even though the electronics would save the day in the end unbless one is talented and brave enough, or stupid enough, to switch them off! Porsche does the same thing with its RS cars; they are not meant as daily drivers. Ferrari has the FF for the ski-goers anyway, even though I disagree with that decision. The power numbers are still on the air, but I believe they will be even higher than those mentioned.
In that sence, supersports cars are not daily drivers. Not to mention ground clearance, public perception and running costs. 
On a final note, let's not forget the Carrera GTs that have gone up i flames. It seems to be in the DNA of every extreme supercar.
