sfo, when I first saw the 981, my perfect colour choice was white with yachting blue & blue soft top, but I now concur with your colour choice, looks really classy! Many congratulations and look forward to seeing more photos once you've taken delivery.

picked it up today ...
my front wheel arch sills are OK.
however, the offside front bumper is badly misaligned:
AND, I have "Boxster S" on the passenger kick plate, and "Boxster" on the driver's side kick plate!!@@!!
Deeply unimpressed!
Some pics 
First impressions:
1. 19" wheels and no PASM is absolutely fine. ride quality is stunning. firm yet utterly compliant.
2. BOSE is excellent
3. steering is unbelievably accurate
4. exhaust is pretty good without PSE
5. cornering is mind bending .. literally, as yes, a cliche, but, on rails
6. manual gearbox is very similar in feel to 991 7 speed .. I find it too light, not enough effort to push.

Really beautiful! I dare not show these photos to SWMBO - she would be on the phone to a friendly Porsche dealer first thing in the morning and our 997 would be history whilst she waited for a new Boxster to arrive ! 
But what are Porsche thinking about? Misaligned front bumper? Wrong kick plate? Seems like the factory are rushing these cars out to meet demand, but at the prices charged it's unforgivable!!
Any chance of some interior photos please?

I agree. With 19" you get a better ride and of course tyres will be cheaper come replacement.

Wait for the short shifter to come out then retrofit it. Much better than standard if the 987 was anything to go by!
