My new Cayenne Diesel
After a long time since I sold my 2004 Cayenne S, I'm back to the Cayenne community. In the mean time, I've owned many 997s (Carrera, Turbo and GT3 RS) but family needs urgently demanded more space.
Was tempted to buy a used Cayenne Turbo S (RC, thanks for your advise), but common sense prevailed and after a nice deal from my Porsche Center this is my new car:
- Jet black metallic, with black interior.
- 19" Cayenne Turbo wheel.
- Bixenon.
- Park assist.
- Powerliftgate.
- Sunroof.
- Air suspension.
- Servotronic.
- 100 liters fuel tank.
- Multi-function steering wheel.
- Navigation.
- Universal audio interface.
- Bluetooth.
There are a few options that I would have ordered, but the deal I got was for a stock unit (hence the nice price).
A great car to travel with the family under the Spanish rules. low consumption and relaxed cruising. During my first trip from pickup, I managed a 7,9 l/100 consumption in a mixed highway/national route @ 115 kmh average speed. Not bad considering my former Cayenne S managed a 15+ l/100 consumption. And bellow 180 kmh (rarely I drive faster in Spain), it feels as fast if not more.
A couple of pics, one shows the PCM readout:
