    Best interior shot yet, thanks! I guess we shouldn't be surprised how close to the 991 the design is, maybe though with better sport chrono placement, no wart. kiss

    I thought it had been reported there would be five gauges?  Door panels appear to be  the same as the 991 which makes sense.

    I'm guessing the Boxster and Cayman will stick with 3 guages as per the Team Speed pic. In the expanded pic showing the 5 guage cluster you can see that the dash hash been crudely cut out to accept them (area highlighted with a red circle). Look at how close the air vent is to the outermost dial on the 5 guage cluster.

    It would have been nice if they had given the Boxster a more sport focused interior with a little less Pana/991 luxury, but I have to admit it makes my 987S look very dated.

    The center console blank buttons do get me a little, anyone know what options Porsche wants us to check to fill all 10 in?

    Thank you for posting rulesdontapply, the interior is a huge improvement over the 987 - I hope the interior door handles etc are real aluminium rather than that nasty cheap plastic aluminium in the current cars. Can anyone who has seen the 991 update us on that as I assume the components will be identical?

    I wonder if that is a clock or sport chrono on the fascia centre - if its the sport chrono then again a huge improvement than the wart on 987 / 997

    cheap plastic door handles.. In my day you had a red nylon strap and were happy with it :)

    I think it's going to be 2.7 and 3.2 boxer 6, as written in recent stories from pre-production rides in LA with Autocar and Insideline. Output was still in the air though... Smiley

    2.7 and 3.2 flat six with arround 270 / 320 hp would be no surprise.

    For me more or less a disapointment.

    Boxster and Cayman are so great handling cars, they can get along with a lot more power.

    Most likely. It goes pretty much along the lines with specific outputs of 991. That's what those magazines have claimed anyway, although it was only their assumption more less...

    A close friend from the dealership in here today told me that the presentation for the new Boxster 981 in Dubai is going to be in February. So as very few days until Global introduction as we anticipated... ;)

    Have no idea. Seems like after 991 and 981 pictures and specs got leaked , Porsche started to be a lot more accurate with the information. But there is a rumors....

    I don't believe in Geneva for Boxster at all! It's going to be in Detroit 100%! We are already seeing almost undisguised mules on streets which means the introduction is only few days away. Geneva will be Cayman's introduction. Magazines know sh^t, or they are pretending not to know....
