You naughty boy...press embargo is still in effect.
In my opinion, this is a very interesting alternative to the Panamera Turbo.
On the other hand, I've been told that the price tag is closer to the Turbo than to the 4S, so maybe I shouldn't celebarate too early.

Despite standard issue all-wheel drive and a kerb weight of 1920 kg, the new engine can propel the car from rest to 62 mph in just 4.5 sec and on to a top speed of 179 mph.
Sounds like the Panamera for me.

Rumored price tag in Germany is 118000 EUR incl. 19% german VAT.
Interesting price tag...compared to the 4S but with some options, it is easily Turbo territory.

I will certainly take this car into consideration but 118k EUR are a little bit steep because you need to add at least another 10k to get the car you want. Compared to the 4S though, the GTS could be a bargain.

LOL, what would that be, "Pète sous l'eau"?
Reminds me when I had a French collegue, we used to ask him what "I fart in your general direction" (quote from Monty Python and the search for the holy grail) was in French. If I remember correctly, it was something like "Je pete en ton direction general" ... Anyway, back to topic: farts... scratch that: Panamera GTS!

The new Panamera GTS debuts in LA...
"Making its world premiere at the 2011 L.A. Autoshow, the new Panamera GTS is the purest interpretation of our sports car for four..."

...obviously the "track video" is a BIG JOKE from the Porsche marketing department!

Love it, this looks like the ultimate Panamera for those who appreciate the prowess of the S models and the prestige of the Turbo models. The Turbo elements like the rear wing, headlights and lower front light units look fantastic; can't wait to see it in the flesh and take it out for a test drive.
On the flip side, at least we now know what to expect of the forthcoming Cayenne GTS...

Rossi:pierre:Sorry, but that official video is as silly as pointless...
Sorry to say that, but Porsche goes a strange way recently...
Jeez guys, where's your sense of humour? Of course the video wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but on the other hand it does illustrate the central concept of this Panamera, i.e. the fact that it's a fun-to-drive, dynamically accomplished and powerful sports car which can comfortably seat four people.
I'm not even a great fan of the Panamera, but I can appreciate the idea behind this video. "Silly"? Yes, as it was meant to be. "Pointless"? No.
