I don' think so. The Cayenne Turbo has 450 HP and room for a whole family including luggage. I don't see how that Range could fit me, my wife, two kids and luggage. 
And another thing: did you ever drive a Jaguar XJR? My E55 AMG felt ten times sportier and I bet the setup of this new Range isn't much different, very comfort-oriented with a pretty numb steering.
Time will tell but if I was Porsche, I would worry much more about the new Mercedes M-class and even the rumored VW Touareg V12 with minimum 450 HP.

What caught my eye was the claim of excellent on road handling plus real off-road capability. The FX-45 looks similar but doesn't go off-road so not really in the same niche. For me, if it can't go off-road, what's the point? Minivans and station wagons offer better alternatives.

I'm sure AUDI is working on a good and powerful engine that Porsche would benefit too

I do think so. Sorry to hear that it doesn't fit you, but the Range Stormer is (maybe you didnt pick up the hint) A CONCEPT. Meaning that what you see isn't actually what will be. The Range Sport which is previewed by the Range Stormer will indeed have five doors - look here for actual spy pics of the real thing. And why are you barking at me for the info in the article that talks about the Range Sport having the same engine as the XJR? You really need to think before you type my freind. Never once did I say anything about the E55 vs. the XJR, thats your'e comparo. Let me ask you, have you driven the new Range Rover??? I don't think so. The steering is very commuinicative and assuring, afterall it was engineered by BMW :smirk.
You totally detract from the subject in an effort to make yourself look more knowlegable, but in the end you look like a pompous, know it all, who is his own worst enemy. But I'd probably be the only person here to tell you this.

Yes, I drove the new Range Rover, no wonder: my father-in-law owns one (the V8). And no, it doesn't feel like the BMW X5, more like something between my ML55 and the X5.
I wouldn't run a car forum if I wouldn't be into cars. And yes, I drove many of them, including many SUVs. This is the advantage of my real life job, I get more testride offers than time to do them all.
How many prototypes did you drive? I had the chance to sit in two of them, a 996 C2 Powerkit and a 996 Turbo.
Me and CFG made a pretty good press when we showed off the pictures over 4 years ago.
How do you think we get information others don't have? How do you think we drive cars others have problems to get their hands on? But I stop now before I say too much.
A last word on the Range: how much does the V8 version weight? Now imagine the "ordinary" Range Rover with a 400 HP supercharged V8. Not even close to Cayenne Turbo performance. Range Rover has to satisfy a certain kind of customer and I don't think they'd accept the Cayenne's direct steering and stiff suspension setup, especially when the PASM changes into Sport setting at higher speeds.
And a last thing: I value the freedom of opinion as long as it doesn't get personal. I'd hate it if you'd be the first person EVER to be banned from Rennteam.com.

And not to mention the Range Rover will recieve the next generation AJ V-8 which normally aspirated is said to put out over 300bhp, supercharged it will put out a little over 500bhp.
