CloseI have 4 zone A/C in my X6M. However, it's only cooling the drivers side front and rear. Passenger side just receives air. Any ideas ?
My BMW service is 600 kms away so an easier fix to do it myself if anyone has a hint.
Could be a aircon duct gotten loose? Or a mixer valve got stuck in the closed position.
There are quite a dew options in the iDrive for how the circulation is coming out, but if you have air blowing, that means the vents are all working properly.
I believe the air con unit is behind the glove box in the passenger side, so unless you can take out all the trimmings and trace the route of the air con duct work, don't think you can do much yourself.
yeah, i opened the bonnet and closed it in 3 seconds....nothing to be found there.i checked all the aircon fuses of which some are in the trunk and some under dash passenger side. all ok.
it really annoys me having to send the 600 kms there and back for a three minute fix.
will call them tomorrow and see if mobile workshop can help....usually they are pretty useless..

Why not contact someone in BMW in Munich? Maybe they can provide some remote assistance by phone? It may not help much but it's worth a try if it means you can avoid a 600km trip.

It must the electronic control of the flaps. The BMW diagnostic can check whether they can be activated or not.
I don't think you could avoid the BMW Center. Perhaps they could bring the diagnostic down to you, do the check and if the car needs to be driven to the workshop ask them to take it themselves.

You remember where intouch lives, right ? Would you trust a complete stranger, very likely someone who can't even afford the cheapest BMW model, to drive your car 600 km ? I wouldn't.

i will keep driving it like this for another ten days (my side is cool 
) maybe it'll fix itself.
if not, will load it on a truck and send it to bmw to have it done. a real pita....,
actually just wento for a run today....the car is seemingly better and better. not that it is actually getting any better just that i like it more and more.
the engine/exhaust sound is just sick. the way it crackles when downshifting and overruns....exhilarating.
i will give the full report once i've received and driven the c63.
basically same engine in very different chassis. will be interesting.

This proves that it is an intermittent electronic problem.
I am not entirely sure that it is an electronic problem. The flaps that distribute air are actuated mechanically, of course they can get stuck for whatever reason. I do, of course, not know the layout of the X6´s ventilation system so I can be mistaken.
it's not even 1 year old....
i've also had the driver's seat ventilation fail when car was a month old and already fixed.
will wait and see how the aircon behaves over the coming couple of weeks.
