    Cayenne - Waiting times and discounts

    Question for Cayenne owners in the UK. What was your wait time when ordering a car to spec. Also, are there any discounts that get made available by dealers or is it all at list price? Coming from America where you will get offered a 4% discount off list pretty much straight away. Tks.

    Can't speak about the UK but over here in Germany, waiting times are up to 12 months (depending on model, mostly the Diesel) and rebates are pretty small, especially for the Diesel models. If you want a Turbo though, things could look better.

     On my Cayenne S that I ordered the wait time is 5-6 months. Due to the strong CHF you can get some nice discounts. For the UK that will be different I guess..

    Unbelievable, the most expensive cars with the longest deliver time! Sad but true. I'm right now in the market for either Cayenne or Panamera. Haven't asked my dealer till now, as I know what his answer would be. So I'm looking around in the internet but really no chance. Any recommendations on this? So far I see, I have to drive my X5 up to the end of the leasing period in 06/2012 AND must order by now to get one of these precious stones in time :-(

    Well...I hope that the Cayenne Turbo S will be available by the time my X5M lease runs out 04/2013. My wife's M3 Cab lease runs out next year in July, so maybe she will take my X5M and I get something nice when my GTS Cab lease period of 18 months is over.

    Tough decisions... Smiley

    Btw: My dealer has a beautiful (probably slightly used, I haven't checked yet) Panamera Turbo, white, brown leather and dark colored front lights. I added a photo to this post, the car looks absolutely amazing.

    Delivery time on the diesel Cayenne is now April '12 at some dealers and there is no discount on any of the range I was told due to low allocation.

     Here in South Africa, I ordered the Carrera GTS and the Cayenne Diesel at the end of May - I got September build slots for both and I'm expecting delivery end November or early December...


    Maybe I'm lucky - it appears that some locations simply aren't allocating build slots for the GTS anymore (?) and initially they said the Cayenne wouldn't come until at least January, so I'm lucky on both counts...

    Thanks a lot for your hint. Yes, the white Pana looks amazing as a whole but white is one of the few colours I don't like that much. So far as I understood your X5 lease runs out in 18 months since now - so you can decide on 2 new cars in the 1. quarter 2013 :-)) Well, can't help me but after a short time ( maybe 12-18 months) I'm always in the mood buying new cars. I know that can't be normal. My neighbors run their cars 6-10 years. But...maybe I'm addicted?? :-)

    In Italy same problem,waiting lists 8/12 months for Cayenne (all engines),for mine 7% discount,but i buy in the same Porsche center all my cars,so i think is also for this reason. ciau

    I don't like white too much either but especially on larger cars, this is a very inoffensive color, not aggressive at all and very well suited for such a car.
