The placement of the sunroof looks completely out of place when open like in the video. I would much prefer the current sunroof on 997-model or a roof á la Targa where the roof is hidden on the inside of the car... This roof does not seem to be in glas either.

Not exactly sure if the roof will be available in glas or not, but for me it looks like the same mechanics what other brands are using for their glas sun roofs. Imagine that roof in glas and it almost will give you the Targa feeling. One more indication that next Targa will have the hook back and look more than the original thing.

Easy, over here, we don't get an option. All non GT series 911 has sunroof and all GT series cars don't.
That sucks! I heard that the new sun roof is part of the spoiler and aerodynamic concept. Dont know exactly how it works but based on speed it will move up and down.
Anyway - I 100% agree - the sunroof opening above the roof looks so ugly

thanks for the video..weill the general shape from the 991 looks OK - similar to 997 which I like - but the rear end is messed up..especiallly it seems obvious now that the rear lights are not in line with the bumper..kind of the early 928s from the late 70s--not really what I like..front lights are still a bit unclear so..
not much new..

In some ways this "minimal" camo is more distorting of the features underneath than one might expect. At this stage we really need to see the final iteration before we can make any judgment. So far, I don't really see anything to dislike but then again nothing to lust after either.

I don't see anything I dislike either, but it currently looks like there were more diffrences between the 997.2 and 997.1 than the 991 and the 997.2... well, let's see when all the camo goes off.
After reading a few articles from journalists who joined the last tests for the 991 it also seems the 3.8 engine is untouched with the exception of a new exhaust which raises power to 400hp. If that information is not wrong, the GTS still seems like a very good deal...

Exactly. The 997.2 in common and the GTS in particular is the 997 in perfection, whereas the new car is Porsche's first attempt of the 991.

I too find the sunroof very ugly. It reminds me of the sunroofs on lower priced sports cars.
