I love Mercedes Benz. This car isn't about true track performance. It's got the dominating MB styled power to comfort ratio that is really unique IMO. So is this car
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

This kind of power in a relatively small car for 80000 EUR? This car is a steal.
I recommended a C63 AMG to a customer of mine and he bought it two weeks ago. He bought a PP version, slightly used with 9000 km for 67000 EUR, fully loaded, in mint condition. He couldn't be happier with his choice, he just came by to thank me and to show me the car. The exhaust sound when he left...absolutely amazing.

god that looks hot!
bit disappointed it's not as track focused as the CLK BS.
and only 20kg less the stnd car?
The seats (derivative of Recaro Pole Position) probably save more than 35 kg over standart C63 Seats. Very nice car.

While that's probably true, the bodykit and reïnforced drivetrain will offset most of those gains made.
Following leaked photos from earlier this month, Mercedes has released details and photos for the most powerful C-Class of all time, the new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series.
Echoing previous reports, performance specs are spot on. Channeled through a AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission with rear axle differential lock, the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine produces 517 PS (380 kW / 510 bhp), 30 PS (22 kW / 30 bhp) more than the C63 AMG with Performance Package, and a maximum torque of 620 newton meters. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes 4.2 seconds (provisional).
As the fourth Black Series model since 2006, Mercedes has equipped the C63 AMG Coupe with an adjustable AMG coil-over sports suspension and AMG brake system (ceramics available) surrounded by titanium grey forged light-alloy wheels sized 9 x 19 (front) and 9.5 x 19 (rear) with 255/35 R 19 and 285/30 R 19 tires. Available as an option is the AMG Track Package which includes sports tires and active rear-axle transmission cooling, plus the AMG Aerodynamics package including flics, a functionally tuned front splitter and an adjustable carbon-fiber rear aerofoil.
Externally, the C63 Coupe Black Series conveys its aggressive nature with an arrow-shaped front end which includes large air intakes in the front apron, lower splitter in black and a bluging aluminum hood with two air intake vents. On the side body Mercedes has restyled the skirts with a black molding strip. The rear quarter panels have also been widened by 42 mm to accommodate the increased track width of the rear axle. Air openings are also placed in front of the rear wheels. At the rear, the trapezoidal quad exhaust integrated into the black diffuser also signifies its Black Series intent as it protrudes past the profile of the rear apron. The boot lid spoiler is painted in body colour, and as the final touch, let us not forget the "Black Series" badging. All body kit components are made of genuine carbon fiber.
Motor sport intentions also carry through to the interior starting with two AMG sports bucket seats upholstered in black DINAMICA microfiber on the center panels of the seats while the door panels receive a new type of synthetic fiber. The rear bench has been removed to reduce weight, however two individual rear AMG sport seats are available as an option. The AMG performance steering wheel is wrapped in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfiber. Other details include a "Black Series" logo on the dashboard, AMG door sills and AMG sports pedals both in brushed stainless steel, red seat belts and red contrasting topstitching throughout.
The C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series is celebrating its world premiere during the Formula 1 race on the Nürburgring, the German Grand Prix this weekend (23 - 24 July 2011). The market launch will follow in January 2012, and its sales price is 115,430 euros (incl. 19% VAT) in Germany
It is sad that BMW Motorsport has no answer for this car.
M3 GTS is simply overpriced and limited run. M3 w/competition pack. is not good enough.

how could you put deposit down for it. Wanted to to the same for the c63 amg black series, but my mercedes dealer told me that first there is abolutly no need, secont they dont now the price tag in switzerland.
But in the end it is ok for me becaus actuelly here the sls prices drop daily due to the week euros, so it could be also likely that i could get an sls for the price of the c black series, and that would me make thinking about the choice between
