    Holy crap, that's how the SLS should have looked like from the beginning ! By the way, the render is clearly based on a SLS photo so I'm pretty sure the SLC is not going to look anything like that.

    I really like the looks of it. Now Mercedes just need to do something stupid and destroy the looks of the production car :(

    Don't get too excited, it's just a RENDERING...autocar's rendering to be precise. It has NOTHING to do with what the production car will look like. What they did was take a photo of the SLS and mess around in photoshop (they just changed the headlights and bumper). The result: A SLS that looks a lot better than the current one (which is spoiled by the angular headlights). That said, I hope the facelifted SLS will look like that.

    If there will be an SLC, does it mean that the SL Roadster will go back to canvas roof?

    Is it clear, if the SLC will be a 2 seater or a  2+2?

    As regards the SLC vs 911 comparison, IMO the SLC will be another option for the sports car buyer especially if the Mercedes will be a 2+2.

    Baby SLS model, the SLC, will rival the Porsche 911 and feature more than a baby-like 500 HP 

    New details are emerging on the upcoming Mercedes-Benz 'baby SLS'.  This time German car magazine Auto Bild is reporting that the so-called SLC will sport up to 500 PS (368 kW / 493 bhp) and be positioned as an arch-rival to the Porsche 911.  For reasons of cost, the SLC would lose the gullwing doors of the larger SLS AMG model, and an entry-level model with around 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp) will cost less than €100,000.  Auto Bild says there are two scenarios for the SLC - one is an introduction of its own in 2014. The other is that the model becomes a successor to the SLS and replaces it in 2016.

    At €100,000 for the entry-level car, I'm not so sure it will affect 911 sales too much. Smiley
