That's true, Mike - but it appears to me that the same could be said about almost any expensive sportscar (maybe except Super Exotics like Veyrons or Zondas) in these days. So any enthusiast should be better off to buy these toys just for what they are meant to exist: sheer joy of ownership and driving fun - I'm under the impression that this is your approach with your superb stable

Indeed it is, but I won't lie - I've lost too much that I would like to remember on depreciation due to the high vehicle taxes here. Thank you Smiley

Wow i want my 5minutes back. Good you guys kicked him out... what nonsense.. if the SLK is so similar to the SLS why did MB sell any SLS at all.. Obviously it is a step up from the SL even.

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Even though I had him on my ignore list (first time I ever had to use that), it kept messing up the rennteam experience, since posts from other people that quoted him would still turn up ;-)

Banning anyone on Rennteam gives none of us Moderators any pleasure. It's sad to have to take such drastic action but occasionally we have no choice but to do this when a user has no respect for others or for the forum rules.

Exercising authority is a responsibility. It isn't always straightforward and we're very grateful that the overwhelming majority of you make discharging this responsibility relatively easier than might otherwise be the case. For that, we Moderators are very appreciative of your cooperation and kindness.

The SLS is a special edition Mercedes with only one engine, special AMG involvement and aviation tangent theme coupled with historic gull-wing reference to the great 300SL. All the for only a 1/3 more than a plain mainstream SL is quite the deal. Especially when you consider the stunning performance of the SLS Smiley

The SL is so mainstream.. in Canada every second car is an SL.. i got used to seeing 20+ a day easy in the city. The SLS in real is a stunner however, a true special sports car with presence. In Germany they put a 280 in the SL.. you won't see a SLS 280....

Even the upcoming SL won't affect the SLS.. two different beast IMO. I wish did didn't go for the name... SLS Smiley
