reginos,
I've done around 1,000 miles in the Dino now on all types of roads. I let it warm up properly and then it is happy to go fast. It will sit quite happily at 90 mph and actually runs smoother at this speed on a motorway. I don't hurry the gear shift though nor do I abuse the clutch. The old lady steps pretty smartly off the line though and flows well through corners. It's a fun drive and very different to the modern cars as you have to be more direct and precise with your control inputs (steering, gear shifting and braking). I can't see me parting with this car.
ISUK:
Nick,
I like your spider. Could a yellow 458 spider lure you back to the fold? Only 5 months to go until that model is unveiled and I think it will be pretty special.
I optioned the JBL this time round as the dealer paid me over list for my first car so I decided to squander this windfall in a new option I found that whilst the standard system is a great improvement over the hifi upgrade system in the 430 it still struggles to compete with tyre roar on some poorly surfaced sections of motorway.
Great Discussion. May 2012 for first delivered USA cars. With a biclore option and folding roof which would be more logical than on the coupe
I still like the techy look of the Challenge I saw at the factory at the FF launch Rosso Corsa/Argento Nurburgring
Somehow I missed this thread
I just saw it while looking for some 458 pic. on Rennteam.
First of all, congrats with the 2nd 458 Iain. I guess, you past 5000 miles by now 458 is still my favorite car on the market. Actually, it is the only car I desire on the market.
Out of curiosity, how do you manage to get higher than list price of your used 458 when you sold it? Is it the British Market or your close relationship with your dealer?
