pride355:
Christian,
How much is 97 octane in Germany right now?
Here in Istanbul, 97 is almost 1,90 Euro/ 1L
I'm not quite sure but I think I saw 1.60 EUR for 1 l of Super Plus (98 octane) and 1.70 EUR for 1 l of V-Power (100 octane). Pretty expensive.

Still cheaper than our poor quality 97 octane

Agreed - false badging is pure inferiority complex. Very sad.
This on the other hand is sublime...
hahaha - love it. Have a friend who has a RS6 with a TDI badge and one passenger said once " for a diesel it runs pretty good..." :) . same as a new Cayenne owner here who debaged the whole car and only got the "hybrid" on the back.....he is now thinking of a "biofuel" sticker on his fuel-flap.....
Yes, indeed...funny stuff but it is actually very surprising that it works. A friend of mine had a "Erprobungsfahrzeug...fährt umweltfreundlich mit Autogas" (Testcar...drives environmentally friendly with liquified gas) sticker on his Cayenne in Munich and he never had problems again with his car. Of course this wasn't true... but it seems to calm down those crazy people who care about the big bad SUVs.
