It is longer than old one (4890 mm), but I think it looks on those photos even longer than it is due to photo angle and small rims. I like new 6er, except front could be better. But anyway its too big Coupe for me, I will be more interested for next gen. 3 Coupe (F32).
Here is 6 series Coupe concept, which is basically the same car:
And new 6er (with camouflage) next to old one:

Seems a bit dull, doesn't it? The lines seem inharmonious as if six designers were each given a section and some duct tape to assemble the parts with.

You're just missing some of that Bangle surface excitement, thats all.

I waited to see the car in real as I wanted to order either a 6series or 7series as a daily driver. Seeing that I ordered last night a new 7. The 6 is not emotional enough to me for having lack of space and comfort for the daily biz trips!
Congrats, 7 series is perfect choice for a long distance trips I haven't seen new 6 series in person, but old 6 series isn't very comfortable and spacious inside...

You can't go wrong with a 7 series, I don't think.

You're probably right. I actually thought the last 5 Series was beautiful and the Z4 as well. Didn't like the Bangle Bustle but did very much like the lines of the last 6 Series.
This one seems lumpy to me. But it may be better in person and it may grow on me.
When I look at a 6 Series, I go "6 Series. 911. Which would I rather drive?"
It's a no-brainer, isn't it?

IMO the 6 series has occupied a market niche by itself.
More special and unique than the Mercedes E class coupe or CLK previously and the Audi A5 and on the other hand much more affordable than top luxury coupes like the CL the Bentley Continental or the Maserati, but still with sufficient effect
Porsche need something in that category with a perfect balance between luxury and sportiness.
