     Could the placement of the fuel tank be decided by LHD or RHD versions?

     Did anyone notice the fuel tank is on the left side ?

    Maybe it's the Hybrid version. Tank on the right , plug-in on the left.

    could be ,or they are trying to confuse us. Some of the cars have a left filler door others don't, so who knows we will just have to wait and see.

    Nevertheless the 997, especially Mk 2 still looks fantastic. IMO a really great design from Porsche, wich could become a classic, just as the 993 for instance. Smiley

     Interesting how the surface light play on both moves as the camera angle rises ... and yet that little "dimple" above the rear wheel remains. I think it's the reflection of the corner of the rear window on a flattish section of bodywork, suggesting a very muscular set to the shoulders there (or hips, if you prefer).

     I hope the front apron and rear lights really make it stand out because overall if they don't make some distinct changes everything is going to be very facelift-y and I don't think thats the best thing in the world. OTOH all the new models porsche is throwing out at the public as well as future plans really make people wonder if porsche is being true to they're sportscar DNA, so they will probably try to keep the 911 as true to its identity as possible just to ensure the public that they are not going to change they're most permanent and historic piece.

    I remain confused about the panel under the rear wing.  I know it will have the appropriate lettering--which will break up the blank space there now--but the panel appears flat, or even concave.  I hope tha panel has a nice rounded flow to it, continuing the lines of the rear bumper.

    I also wish the rear bumper had the GTS, GT3, GT2 style slits on the rear sides.

    It may even be possible that -as part of the camo- they left the real bodypanel away, and covered i with some temporary plastic, thus resulting in an concave looking panel... who knows?

    I want to know how the rear engine lid is going to come up? I wonder when raised if the rear spoiler is also attached like the current 997.
